      The fact that X100 Pro uses D9300 while X100 Pro+ has SD8g3 proves Vivo thinks snapdragon is better.

        luckily mediatek closed the gap with snapdragon chips. I prefer phones with mediatek chips, just because itś made in Taiwan :-)

              Sounds like a refresh of the 9200+. Won't be weak compared to Snapdragon but definitely won't be as big of a gap as it will seem on benchmarks. Otherwise, just another great chipset from MediaTek.

                Qualcomm has superior modem,ISP,DSP,GPU efficiency,developer support.

                Doesn't matter if you are a fan of Qualcomm but still have to admit the fact. Mediatek needs massive improvement in these fronts to truly compete against Qualcomm 8 flagships.

                  More popular = seems better to the masses (average user)

                      Waiting for actual efficiency data.

                      Cortex-A5xx cores are trash so maybe underclocked A7xx cores might turn to be massively better with performance with similar power levels.

                      The extra A7xx cores insted of A5xx in Snapdragons lead to significant efficiency gains. So having high hopes from Mediatek too.

                      Im just concerned about the large footprint of 9300 would make it significantly more expensive than 9200.

                        If x100 & x100 pro using 9300
                        It would be strange to have x100 pro+ using 8 gen 3
                        Because 8 gen 3 have lesser performance

                          Supposedly the vivo x100 pro is scoring 7700-7900 on geekbench, which is like 500 points more than the 8 gen 3. this may be a huge, power hungry disappointment.

                            I look forward to seeing how good the performance of this SoC is compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400. 🫡

                              it look more like a laptop chip than a mobile chip

                                Samsung never wanting flagship mediatek....

                                      I'm interested in how big this chip actually is physically. All those cores take up a lot of silicon. Must be expensive to manufacture.
