                it is a bit costlier.
it would be better if this product got subsidised to max of 20k

AnonD-56691, 17 May 2013It is funny to see how Google and LG thinks. They launched ... moreLG did not launch at subsidised rates Google did as they earn from software and sell online through play store which has reduced costs etc, it is LG which has launched the nexus 4 in India and it is not available on the play store.

Even at 26k (16GB) is a best buy when compared to the pricing of the other smart phones in India.

I think its a very smart move and it will sell very good numbers in the Indian market.

It is funny to see how Google and LG thinks. They launched Nexus 4 in US and other European countries on a subsidized rate where a customer could very well buy the phone at non-subsidised rates. And they are launching the phone in developing countries like India and Brazil where customers could have really appreciated subsidy and would have taken LG far beyond its imagination in terms of numbers of Nexus 4 sold.
Though many of the Indians with disposable income are happy and I believe even if it was priced at 40K they would have bought it but that number would in thousands. Imagine if LG/Google had launched it at 20K then it would have been millions of customers with Nexus 4 and it would have launched LG right at at top in India and would have become a trustworthy brand providing best technology at no nonsense price point.
Missed opportunity for both, more for LG than Google.

People are buying overpriced S3 ( under performer compared to nexus4) and xperia-Z ( same performance nexus4) . When they are hearing nexus4 for 25 k they are geting shocked ... sorry LG and Google are not giving hype and ads and getting money from customers .

NEXUS4 is not a SUPERNATURAL PHONE . IT IS ONE OF THE TOP END PHONE WITH HIGH VALUE FOR MONEY .

Believe me stock Android is boring, dull and plain that's why manufacturers customize the software in phones to make them visually appealing.

And if not 25 k INR then what price were u expecting ? As the article said it's LG and not google bringing this phone to India.lg has done a nice job pricing this phone aggresively in the Indian market.even though this is not google play's ultra affordable price it's still very decent seeing the specs of the phone.

The LG N4 outside play store is not a good buy! Trust me. this is the most returned unit ever, there's a reason why google contracted samsung for vanilla S4.. LG is now dumping stocks to 3rd world countries at an expensive price. I am an n4 owner and i should have RMA it from the start, the N4 hardware is just fail.

Firstly, Nexus 4 is the BEST option in 20-25K Range. With HD Screen 8MP Snapper, Quad core Kraits.
Secondly: It's NEXUS, Latest Updates First.
Thirdly: Look at the style statement that phone can make.

Its an awesome phone, personally I am in queue to get it.
