Alex, 15 Nov 2023I have xiaomi 14 unlocked and i get updates, i can proove it :)What is the fault of the people who unlocked the bootloader of their phones before in order to install the global ROM? It is not a big problem, the company must find a solution for them.

That was long time coming. For years,online sellers, rooting the phones and has been selling so called "global ROM" Xiaomi phones that has never been released globally.

The level 5 requirement for their community forum is there to stop foreigners from rooting their devices. So no black market imports and installing some random version of Android.

You know what makes Xiaomi stand out from the crowd of cheap Chinese smartphone makers? It's the possibility to easily unlock bootloader and easily flash whatever OS you want. Xiaomi makes it really easy to flash stuff. None of the other Chinese phone makes does that. Thank you Xiaomi. The 7 day waiting period is fine. I don't care if I don't get any updates through OTA. I'm bothered by the 3 device only limit. That means I will only purchase 3 Xiaomi devices per year. Too bad Xiaomi. I hope you remove the limit. If not that means you will see less money from me $$$ per year.

Welp, puts me out of getting any future Xiaomi phone. We'll see how long I can ride out my 12S Ultra here in USA on AT&T.

No Hyper Os ,No probs.Wrong choice for them.Selling point will drop down.B.t.w alder phones for long time will have not Hyper Os.3 unlock bootloader okay, Change your SIM and new @ and you have another 3 free pass.Always we can switch for older OnePlus phones,some Motorola or Google.

In the exchange of never unlocking the bootloader.Most of Android users will considered to buy the Mid range segment phones.. where we utmost get 2-3android updates not more than that..+ Today's processor are already powerful enough to withstand the life of the Phone extended to next 5-6 yrs..only we need to change the battery in every 3yrs (If properly used)..So I think it is not problem of the thing anymore..Unless A) If someone who does like Hyper OS by providing same features to every region overall software policy as well as adding
B) Xiaomi will change their Software policy updates to midrange smartphones..to 4 Android amd 5 Security updates (which they can't do)
C)Unless there are least bugs ...or not intentionally brick the phone via software update..or hardware function not working by cuase of update
