Case in point Huawei was banned for no reason whatsoever and the US has the most insulated smartphone market on the planet devoid of choice, just like their EV market. Sad what the US is becoming.

[deleted post]Unlike China though, you can actually discuss these issues and change policy. In China, if you start pointing out these types of problems, criticize the government's handling of said problems....you get a not-so-fun visit from the government. Might be a stern warning, or if you have a large enough following, you get disappeared. Simply doesn't happen in the US. People can speak their mind.

And if they want to use a cheap (or expensive) Android phone, they’re going to pick one from a famous brand they know, like Samsung, Google, and Motorola. Oh, and the people here aren’t aware of the fact that the latter was bought by a company in China close to a decade ago, lol.
