Vegetaholic, 14 Nov 2023Samsung invented it and it definitely not going to abandon itNext year, no Samsung phone is gonna have a curved screen. Even the Ultra is dropping it. Pixels also dropped it this year. Xiaomi also switched from curved to 2.5D on the 14 pro.
BBK brands will be the only ones left carrying it on and is now pushing it on to even their cheaper phones.

      First of all it warps the image. So essentially it fails at doing the one thing a display is purposed to do - displaying content properly.

      Secondly it causes so much false touch, so user friendliness takes a hit as well.

      Lastly, the phone is more prone to having its display broken when falling to the ground. So durability is negatively affected as well.

      Curved display as per this implementation in smartphones is a wildly annoying useless gimmick.

          Looks nice, however a 3d curved screen wouldn't be a go for me.

                        I'll be looking forward to seeing how well D9300's CPU and GPU will fare, because the preliminary test shows that, especially when it comes to CPU, it outperforms SD 8g3 by a non-negligible margin under medium to heavy load while being significantly more efficient. Mediatek's SoCs have been decent but they have never looked this promising, I can't wait for the benchmark results/real-life performance in a retail device.

The pro also has dual stereo and an independent hifi chip. Gsmarena is not an official source for specs and are often wrong. It 100% for sure has stereo speakers.
