Nothing Chats will be available on the Google Play Store from November 17 exclusively for Nothing Phone (2) users.
The further it goes, the more I regret having taken the Nothing Phone (1), the teleephone at only one year and I have the impression that it is already almost abandoned by Carl Pei.

The thing is, I'm a beta tester of Sunbird. I've had troubles and stuff using the app, especially with randomly chats not sending, or receiving, UI issues, lags, and most important one of them all being the fact that ur Sunbird account which is created with an apple ID sends the imessages through a random set Mac mini. You don't know anything about that Mac and you just gotta trust that the Mac is safe and nothings going to happen to it which may cause harm to your account

Let me quote this:
"Nothing Chats then leverages Sunbird’s undisclosed number of Mac mini computers across Europe and North America as a waypoint for sending and receiving iMessage-compatible texts and media.
Nothing states that all Nothing Chats messages are encrypted so neither Sunbird nor Nothing can access your messages or shared files."
Do you people truly believe that this method is safe and legal?? 🤨 First, it's not connected to Apple own service and use Mac Mini that being setup somewhere in Europe and America?! Seriously?! Someone could physically access those Mac Mini and copy all your chat (data) be it your text, picture, video and your location!! Not to mention your banking data! 🤦🏻♂️
Secondly, is this even legal?? How desperate these people are really?? 🤦🏻♂️

So they slapped a skin on top of the already existing sunbird app (which in itself is a way to use another company’s services) and called it innovation?
Truly a Carl Pei move.
“Take that! Apple! We’re using your own services and potentially endangering your customers’ security by routing their information to a third party! See? This is innovation, we’re making tech fun again!”

It sounds illegal, and even if Apple doesn't try to stop it, this service will always be limited since it need one mac mini for each of it's user, and they'll turn it into subscription service sooner or later.
If you really need iMessage on android, get a cheap used mac mini and use AirMessage or Bluebubbles app.
