Whew! Just a little more items on the notification panel it will be called pull-down-home-screen-menu. Phone from complicated goes to simple and back to complicated. This is confusing my confusions.

They keep echoing same arguments over again. I doubt that most know how to configure / maintain properly a non-apple device.

AnonD-122895, 20 May 2013Yes they are unstable, my S2 always freezes and random UI u... moreProve it......i have had all four galaxy s models and have never had a problem with any, in fact my first droid was a htc desire and have never had an issue so far with the whole os, but then again i actually know how to use my phone. ii also work in a phone shop and have never had any galaxy models returned on the basis of slow or lagging, the youtube videos you are suggesting are also pre production units, you can see becasue all the s4 videos supposed to show lag are all dated march, and also there are a few settings you can change to speed it up, for example one video shows lag while using the home button, simple thing here is to disable s voice, instant results, other settings include altering transitions, disabling stock apps that u dont use, using a proper app manager, and cleaning out ur cach every so often, things you would normally do on a computer to keep it running good, takes a few minutes to manage but works a treat,

I'll give you an example:
Myself and a work colleague both received a brand new S3 on the same day. I was at first wowed by the screen etc but now 6 months down the line my S3 lags like nobody's business. I read on all these forums how it doesn't lag & is buttery smooth etc & think - what a load of tosh - I have one & it lags.
Now my work colleague - his phone broke. He sent it back & got a replacement phone & his was much faster than mine - a quick comparison shows that my phone has 800Mb ram & 500 of that is used constantly by Android. His new phone has 2Gb ram.....
So now I start to understand why some fanboys constantly cry if someone dares to say their particular model of phone lags... It's because they've probably got a different version of the same phone...
Now look at that from a consumer point of view. Who wants to keep paying for a phone from one company if they constantly update that same model 3 or 4 times before the next model? I certainly wouldn't. I don't want to spend money on the latest phone only to find that a week later it suddenly isn't the latest phone - there's another phone by the same name but this one has more ram, more storage etc etc..
This is already happening with the S4. There are already 3 or 4 versions of it out & the first one is barely on the market..
At least with competitors you will know that the phone you buy today will be the exact same model someone else buys in 2 months time.
buy buy Samsung - the S3 is the last phone I'll ever have from you. You've lost my trust.

This is samsung simply being quick and prompt with updates,something other android phone makers must learn...

this is a leaked firmware, of course there are risks its not that stable yet thats why its not officially released yet. never used a leaked formware and I dont think I ever will. my s2 , s3, tab 2, note 2 are all running on official firmwares.

man this is very old leak , and am already installed this update on my S3 , it has got new futures but it has got a bug " forcing to close apps " when device gives a single vibrate after 5 seconds maybe gives dabble vibrate then you are out of app .

AnonD-122895, 20 May 2013Yes they are unstable, my S2 always freezes and random UI u... moreTrue that's why did not buy S4 plus my sgs2 does same things minus gimmicks..Do agree these updates to sgs2 are causing instability problems for my sgs2..The Android system is a big mess how the hell does normal person on street cope?..People and geeks like customisation but Sammy in past 2 years have overdone it..The new setting centre just confused me and could still not find stuff fast on S4 even tho split into 4 groups..
Still think they should bring out 4.3-4.7 inch Note but ability to just delete what you don't want..Sammys Touchwizz does bring benefits for me (concert hall setting etc) but lately just overkill.

Sales are speaking from themselves. XZ and HTC One got released before and they sold nowhere like S4. And it's same every year, so bashing comments are pointless.

Actually, 2 fingers swipe down works on current S3 JB 4.1.2, i tried it 2 weeks ago.
