I got myself a 15 Pro Max a few days ago and I'm wondering how fast the Face unlock is, especially in the pitch black environment. The only small downside of the face unlock, as I'm moving from Samsung to Apple is that it face ID is difficult to be used when the phone is placed on a table and you're a little bit away from it and I have to use the unlock password instead.

justasmile, 23 Nov 2023Face ID is already very secure. Not a big deal.Yeah , when it comes to Apple , fck privacy

Very happy with my red iPhone SE (2022) I got nearly 13 months ago for $150. The last of its kind for iPhones. If it ever breaks or I lose it, I'll buy another one exactly like it and for dirt cheap.

I tried Face ID with the X and 12 mini. I much prefer Touch ID because I don't need to look at it. And the SE 2022 is very cheap to repair. I would choose it over the 13 mini with the same exact chip (A15) because I prefer the rounded sides more.

Face ID and notches aren't for me. There are drawbacks to them and I prefer sliding up for the control center. I tried loving Face ID and never could. I owned the space gray SE 2016 twice but simply couldn't live with the atrocious battery life.

The SE3 is the perfect iPhone for me.

And why would they. Face ID is 100% better and you don’t even need to think about it. Pick up and my phone is ready to go.

Face ID much more secure than touch ID
With Face ID no one can unlock your phone even you are in unconscious

Nsa only accept face ID now? OK, gotcha. Another reason to stay away from the fruit.!

                        Who would've thought.
With FaceID now working even with mask on, I don't see Apple turning back.

My LG only had a lame optical underscreen scanner unlike Samsung's superior ultrasonic one. But the scanner recognizes my finger no matter how the phone was oriented, even upside down.
Apple just sucks at making under screen fp scanners.

Because they couldn't make a better one. And Face id data is more useful for their business partner which is the NSA.

Make sense, Face ID is years ahead of anything else in the market, especially if they are going to make it without notch etc., it also nowdays works landscape too, it's just so seamless experience and so fast, it works before you even think it. I know Android users don't like this but finger scanners are long behind, they thought Apple will add it later to iPhones and they were wrong again.

One of the reasons I don't choose Apple is that it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner.

                                      Wow, you don't say?

"Apple has reportedly shut down the tools it used to produce [Touch ID]" - this is a bit stup*d and clearly fake: they are mandated by law to produce the sensors for some more years to support existing models, especially since the last one was released in 2022. Not to mention Macs and Magic keyboards still have it. I expect a bit more from this website..
