The z is a very high profit product that sells like crazy, 4.6 million SOLD in 40 days, not shipped like galaxy S4, but actual sales.
The first batches were sold at very high profit, even with an average profit of just 50 dollars for each sold Z Sony bagged nearly quarter of a billion dollars in those 40 days alone. LG dont have any products capable of selling in high volumes at high profit.

Sonny mobile had good profit for 2012 fiscal yeast, those who are too stupid to see that should refrain from commenting. The reason gir the red numbers was the payment for Ericsson's share of SEMC.

Google Sony's 2013 q1 net profit, it's whooping 458mil USD. Xz made 11% profit out of that 458mil translating to around 50million USD. That's profit not revenue, Sony's Xperia line made higher profit than the whole LG company. Cry boy.

Don't mind about the LG comments, the fact is it don't get alot of headlines these days so they troll on other's.
Been going to gsmarena site long before Android phones, and sony ericsson used to be very popular atleast in Asia and Europe, their designs were always elegant and unique. Right now it's just Sony and admit it, it's not doing well in the competition, I feel that they have exhausted alot, too many high end specs released soon but none comes second to S4. I doubt Google will ever contract Sony for the next Nexus because they are more likely to revive Motorola.. have a bad feeling sony will close its mobile business soon.. just a feeling guys 'cause i know some stuff.

Offering sony and blackberry in USA would kill the dying american phone industry.

festus, 22 May 2013 i see the flaws in lg just let anyother product in the mar... moreyes I agree that doesn't always mean sales. This topic has ran wild and somewhat off subject. Unless we are using AU also known as KDDi and if we just so happen to be in Japan this device release doesn't really play a factor to any consumer outside Sony's home turf. That being said it is nice that KDDi is not left of the loop with a Sony device.

You on the other hand can't see nothing past LG, even though the top three phones are GS4, HTC One, and the Xperia Z. I really don't see LG anywhere, you can even check on GSM Arena right now and see based off fans. And speaking of "fanboy" is that suppose to be an insult or something???? You wouldn't own a LG is you wasn't a fan of it, so that makes you a guess what???? FANBOY or GIRL depending on gender of course :D.

I enjoy Sony products and not just their cellphones. That being said I know they are not the ultimate smartphone by far. But neither is LG, Samsung, Nokia, Apple, HTC, or any other brand. You get a cellphone because "you" like it. For people to go around trying to talk bad about a device because they are fanboys or it didn't work for you is kinda funny. And because there is no clear benchmark to determine the best phone. Trying to hype up one device over another is pointless. I'm sure your not going to go out and buy a Xperia, just like I'm not going to waste my money on a LG. Different phones for different folks.

Google didn't need to do that with Sony, heck JBQ, Xda-Developers, and many others praised Sony for donating so much to the AOSP again. A lot more then LG and Samsung its kinda funny how that works huh. Oh and I'm still :) oh and stocks are based on sales.

Oh BTW your beloved LG and Samsung stocks are both down, meanwhile the company your hating on so badly stocks are up for about 2wks straight. And I'm pretty sure stocks are based on sales ;)
