Ice Universe: the Galaxy S24+ is getting 12GB of RAM, vanilla S24 is sticking to 8GB

Previously, both the S23 and S23+ had only one RAM option available - 8GB. Now the S24+ is joining the Ultra in offering a higher tier.

      Honestly getting tired of these heavy big screened phones. Leaked they are now increasing the size of s24+ screen im so out. Just why. Further i prefer the 6.2 phones fit in pocket better but they always put garbage specs in them. Maybe its time to look elsewhere. Been a fun 13 years with samsung but the company is clearly completely out if touch with consumers and actual functionality.

              Absolute 3rd class greedy behavior by Samsung, Minimal upgrades with raising price on flagships every year. I was waiting for S24 Ultra, i have a Note 20 Ultra 12gb ram,256 gb internal memory & 1TB micro sd still fully functional for last 3 years. I wont buy a 12gb ram S24 Ultra, even if it has satellite emergency messaging, titanium frame or a 200 MP Camera is of no importance to me. Perhaps time for me to shift to a fold 5 or move on to some other brand that doesnot act like a blood sucking parasite on consumers instead of meaningful upgrades like increase in ram to 16gb add nonsense virtual ram crap on flagships.

                  Meanwhile, ASUS can sell the Zenfone 10 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage at the same exact price as Samsung's Galaxy S23 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage ($799), while still manage to give an updated gimbal stabilization to the primary wide camera and keep the still-relevant headphone jack.

                  Also, do someone at Samsung really think they can fool people with the Plus variant having 12GB RAM because "it has a bigger screen"? It's not like it'll be Snapdragon-exclusive, unlike the Ultra variant.

                          There's a huge difference between the screens. Even if you put the resolution to 1080p on the S20 would still look better because 1080p on a native 1440p screen still looks better than a 1080p on a native 1080p screen
                          I have the S22 plus and ultra and i can confirm that. S22 ultra on 1080p looks much better

                            Does not matter, a small phone is a small phone, I wish there were more of them and more affordable. I hate those midrange bricks they produce nowdays.

                                  My Motorola Edge 40 pro is better in every single aspect compared to 15 pro max. And thats a hlaf cost phone.

                                  Price will never make a quality people do.

                                      Oneplus does not outsells samsung because oneplus does not spend 4 billions a year for marketing. Othervise Samsung woudlnt stand much chance.
                                      People want s phone with a free from bloatware just like Oxygen OS. Samsung UI is MEH. Apart having billions apps running on backround eating disk space, ram, cpu and gpu usage they litterary does nothing else. Whether you use them or not half of your phone raw power is consumed. Not even speaking about the fact is almost 2024 and samsung still uses 15W charging for most of their devices.

                                      And 13 note pro is 180 while the pro plus is 250 euros according to GSMArena stop talking nonsense.

                                        1200p oled from China Star or Visionox is not better than 1080p oled made by Samsung, Sharp or LG. Otherwise, it would not be far cheaper, like half the price.
