I'm an Android user, but owned an iPod Touch 10 years ago. The App Store back then was much cleaner than today. Now, it's littered with generic poorly-made apps likely made by some random Chinese guy who wants to profit from the millions of ads they put in the app.

Google Play is the same story too, but there are also more selection of quality apps made by bona-fide indie devs, which balances it out.

Finding an iOS app that performs a specific utility without constantly trying to milk your money is getting harder and harder. This is somewhat easier on the more developer friendly and sideloading friendly Android.

            Anonymous, 01 Dec 2023Apple's App Store is easily the worst part of iOS for ... moreeven google play is flooding with garbage. such as overrated trend game that are being copied millions of times with different skins and resources off unity engine, and adware or spyware apps, more repetitive chatgpt based apps. there's plenty of garbage that are being approved by google. all you need to do is just select an app that suit your needs. all applies to app stores, whether it's built in e.g. galaxy apps or from google play and apple app store.

                Apple's App Store is easily the worst part of iOS for me. there's so much TRASH on there and it's difficult to find anything good. i had much better results on Android
