A lens that is clear & flexible can be a real breakthrough in mobile photography,but I think a solid lens is more clearer

Not a bad solution to a real problem. Though the shape will certainly deform bokeh, it'll very likely still be better than fake bokeh.

To begin with, this post wasn't even about Apple, GsmArena made a post on how tecno found a cool way to make a periscope lense i don't see what Apple has to do with this. Remember, Tecno isn't as advanced and popular as Apple and they still manage to make capable smartphones all while keeping the prices affordable. Atleast appreciate that okay? And I'm confident that in the next 4 to 5 years Tecno should be able to earn its place among the top tech company giants. Ease up bruh...

Apple is NOT nor ever has used a periscopecamera.
They're using a tetra prism. Very different!!

This is interesting. I am quite fascinated by the work done by phone companies to improve phone cameras and especially the hardware vs software approach. I like my photos to be authentic so I naturally lean towards improvements to hardware than software which use algorithms to fill in details, manipulate colours and sharpen images. So I am always taking notice of improvements to phone camera hardware.
Tecno seems to be pioneering some new camera tech. I, for one, would never have thought that the eye of a cuttlefish would have any application in the development of a phone periscope lens. I am looking forward to seeing how it all works out.
