dd, 13 Dec 2023nothing works whats the point You can make a few google apps work with Aurora store and sideloaded GMS. Not that it matters in China with the likes of McDonald's agreeing to make a native Harmony OS app.
Only the global audience who are not willing to find alternatives is what's keeping HOS Next stuck in China.

At this point, anything with an LCD screen is a pass for me, no matter how good the rest of the package is. In that regard, the Huawei laptop is a no go, though the Intel chip would be a no go all on its own anyway.
I'm also not buying a new monitor until there is an OLED (or better) monitor with regular-shaped RGB subpixels that can do at least 1000nits of peak brightness, has competent HDR and has a 4K or 5K resolution with a screen diagonal of 27". Anything else I get would not be a good enough upgrade over my existing one, and my existing one's black levels is awful anyway (slightly better than most IPS, but not good enough). In that sense, I wouldn't want a laptop that doesn't do all of these things with its screen either, and I want a 14-16" screen with 4K resolution too.

im sure it's good but i scratch my head over the price, for 999 you could buy an m1 macbook and it would be better in every way that i can think of for most people

A Matepad 11.5 papermatte is enough for books. No need for an extra Matepad air papermatte. There's always compromises for that.
