13 December 2023
The in-house Exynos 2400 chip helps with the cost.

Anonymous, 14 Dec 2023Just texts ? Nah I'd like to see satellite data, voice... moreThis is really dumb.
1, satellite data would use far more power than cellular data
2, satellite data would be far more expensive than cellular data
3, you would need to have your phone pointed the exact direction of the satellite with absolutely no obstructions for a constant & reliable data stream
4, you would need to keep moving your phone for that data, because satellites don't stay still up in space
5, you wouldn't be able to do much anyways, since the tiny antenna on your phone isn't going to get a very good signal coming from a source thats about 1400km away and is very dependant on direction, meaning slow data speeds

The only actual upside is that IPS displays are far cheaper to replace than AMOLED displays are.

The Underdog, 14 Dec 2023Definitely. I bought the S23+ because it had the Snapdragon... moreThis is the best produce.

TechEnthusiast, 13 Dec 2023I think they will have less sales in the market where they ... moreDefinitely. I bought the S23+ because it had the Snapdragon whereas we usually get Exynos in the UK. I certainly won't upgrade to any Exynos containing phone, nor will I be forced to buy the big, expensive Ultra just to get a Snapdragon processor.

They should be lowering prices for any units containing an Exynos processor.

JAcktackle, 14 Dec 2023I knew it. Samsung just could not bare the high cost of do... moreBut just yesterday a report came up saying that the S24 Ultra will keep 10x zoom?!
              Without 10x zoom I'd rather buy a S23 Ultra than a zoom-crippled S24 Ultra...
...except the quality of the pictures would go up some levels, what I would not expect.

                I knew it.
Samsung just could not bare the high cost of double mirrored 10x optical it was eating the profits of the device
It will be last of the kind I.e. S23 Ultra will remain the zoom king for 2024. Also 200mp is retained so no improvement over highly improved s23 ultra.
Smartphone business and innovation is over. LEts focus on smart glasses now.

Hope S24 Plus comes with Snapdragon.

sors, 13 Dec 2023New SOC with faster ram, better 200mp camera with quad pixl... moreI was clearly talking about the regular and plus version which both are coming with exynos chip, its seems like a downgrade and we get the same battery, camera setup, charging speed etc.. most of the people don't care about latest amoled display, Wifi 7,New ram, Idc it's not like you are going to feel or see any difference.

"while staying competitive by offering more features at the same or lower price than its competitors."
                            Lower price than which competitors???
Maybe they though more futures than iPhone (regular) at same price as regular s24... But Ultra costs more then iPhone pro Max, and every other flagship Smartphone.
So, "same or lower price" don't hold up very well!

And why would the price go up exactly?

Maybe I missed it, did everybody on the planet get a raise?
Add to that the no Snapdragon chip...they should be lowering the price if we follow logic(but sadly, rarely do people use their heads)

The Samsung's only real problem is exynos. And not because of the raw power in benchmarks, but with stability and consumption. Nothing more. If they solve this problem I don't see how people will complain about it.
