The samsung m8800 Pixon is lots better then i phone
simply just because it can do the same things but its lots faster
then the i phone.
1 illustration: the internet is faster with the samsung pixon
because it has 3G HSDPA internet
En the camara is verry good from the samsung its not that good as Photo camara but for a phone,verry impressive...

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2008Now in reply to your comment about the iphone's missing fea... moreIm sorry but i have just received the iphone 3G after wanting it for quite some time, after all the hype and uproar that the device is supposedly capable of i am utterly dissapointed with it, don't get me wrong the features and graphics are very good but simple things such as forwarding a message, using bluetooth and receiving a picture!!. this is all pathetic, taking a step backwards rather than forwards, this phone is supposedly the phone of the future but cannot do the simplest tasks that other phones have been doing for years

How many phone has Apple released in the past 3 yrs? Just 1, and that is the iphone (iphone 3g is still iphone). Now how many phone has Samsung, LG and Nokia has released in the past 3 years? Maybe over 10. And the funniest thing is, they're all of the same category, LOL.
Apple sends free firmware upgrades to improve the iphone's performance, not release new phone models, lol. The only reason why Apple had to release the next generation iphone was because there are some hardware changes to it needed to accomodate the 3G feature, still, they kept the name iphone. Which validates my point that Apple just doesn't throw in features just for the hell of it. They upgraded into iphone 3g and also made sure that their consumers use that feature by having their official carrier, AT&T, provide 3G service, unlike other phonemakers that just throws in 3g without even thinking if their consumers would have access to 3G coverage or not. Apple's approach is more reasonable and logical. Now if you wonder why the iphone kept the 2mp when they could've made it 8mp. The answer is simple. There's no photo processor yet available on phones that could give justice to a 5 or 8mp camera on phones. And again, the iphone is not just about throwing in features just so it would look good on paper. When iphone upgrades to a 5mp or 8mp, rest assured that it would also come with a photo processor that a 5 or 8mp camera deserves, that would match the quality of a standalone digital camera.

First they released a 5mp, then an 8mp. I won't be surprised if they release a 10mp tomorrow. Point is, none of them (Nokia, LG, Samsung) have even refined the photo processing quality of their past 5mp camera phones that could match that of a digital cameras' quality, and yet they're already releasing 8mp ones? It's obvious that all they're trying to do is make their devices look good and appealing by hyping up those megapixels even when it produces low quality photo that is still far behind compared to digital cameras. What's the point of a 12mp camera phone if the photo processor is inferior? You'd still end up with pictures that look like they were taken from a 2mp digital camera.
This is not even about the iphone's missing features. It's about the simple logic of considering to first fix and refine the quality of current features of a device before releasing a higher level one. What's dumb about that?

Samsung's strategy is to overkill the market with iphone look-a-likes. Consumers will catch up with this strategy and eventually realize that the devices they got are basically junk phones, candy coated with features and specs that look sweet on paper, but produce mediocre results and frustratingly disappointing performance. Good luck samsung, I'm not buying it.

I think by GPS only for photo tagging, they mean that there is no confirmed OS for this set - like will it be Symbian or WM or nothing?
If there is some new or useless OS/ interface, how will we use GPS Apps?
