      Why do all the Chinese, 3rd world marketed phones always have massive camera bumps? Do they think that poor people are impressed by a giant bump? Maybe they are considering how much they gobble up these phones pumped out every week...

          man, that thing is so fugly from the back and it sticks out more than everest. it's gotten waay past the point of not posting true thickness measurements with the size of the mountainous bumps phones are getting now.

You could put all cameras on one half of the circle/hexagon, but you can't then just cut the other empty half, cause that would make the design even worse. So, to keep it seamless, you can't just purely use every single mm of space you got, either because of the shape, which impends you to do this or because you don't need to, yet you can't compromise making a already questionable or bad design even worse by getting rid of every wasted space because "it has no use".

They could've just made the phone slightly thicker or resposition the cameras inside the phone to get rid of this huge ugly bump. If we ever get a teardown video i'm sure we'll see have that space is just wasted.

                            Only way to reduce bump is using smaller sensors.
                            To have smaller sensors without losing performance, they need to be Exmor T.
                            Sony Semicon will take years (more than 3) to be able to supply the same amount of Exmor RS sold now.

Look at how the S20 Ultra looks compared to the S21 Ultra or even the Note20 Ultra. Look at the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the 12S Ultra, the 13 Ultra, the Mate 50 Pro, X100 Pro, X80 Pro or even Oppo's Find X6 Pro, huge camera bumps but they look elegant and classy.
                                  I just hope this is a problem of the pre-production model and it would look better in real life.
