      To use Type 1.0 with slim bump without crop, lens needs to be 19mm at most.
      Impossible to have slim bump with Type 1.0 behind 23-24mm lens.

        Looks like " Ultra" is one with Lyt900 (aka imx989) while Pro would be downgraded to imx890 or LYT808.

              We have Oppo, and there is Oneplus.

              Since the death of Huawei there's been no stable competitor against the rival of Samsung's and Apple...humm🤔 and what's that. Xiaomi tried but couldn't hold up longer, now Chinese Oems thinks a team up could be better,

              TBF I don't see this going nowhere, if an Ultra is to exist, then go global and challenge those at the top... I mean Stop been nichey and we will have faith on whatever this Ultra will be.

              Though it's clear, this is just a start from the Chinese counter parts. Competition is always welcomed.

                idkBg091, 14 Dec 2023Yeah oppo is the real thing unlike the failure copy cat OnePlus Oneplus is Oppo's more cost effective brand. Oneplus flagships are a lot cheaper than OPPO ones so you can't expect them to be as good when they cost a lot less

Giving a bit more of space opens some possibilities of better (and bigger) hardware. It's expected to have a 1inch sensor and two periscope telephotos (one with 3x and one with 6x optical zoom) which will take quite a lot of space. It's a first ever camera set-up on a smartphone. Now I'm not saying that they couldn't have done a different, more user-friendly design, no, but they definitely had to at least keep it original. And using a round camera bump here would have left you with even more wasted space

Companies like Sony and vivo have made phones with 1 inch sensors, Sony has made phones with manual variable zoom, huawei makes phones with variable aperture. All of these types of camera tech gave been on phones with bumps a fraction of the size, not to mention all the recent periscope cameras. X7 Ultra has way too much dead space plus a huge bump.

                            About time for an Ultra phone from Oppo!

                              For all of those complaining about the huge camera bump.... there's pretty much no other way than bringing a bigger camera bump in order to boast bigger, better and more complex camera hardware.

                                      As for the X7 Ultra itself, for now the only differentiator is the satellite connection capabilities, which the Pro and Vanilla models miss on. This leads me to think that it's probably going to be a Chinese exclusive, whereas the Vanilla and Pro models go global.
