      rizki1, 17 Dec 2023Beast performance, do people here need to know about stabil... moreI had similar thinking but then I tried out the Redmi note 12 pro+ with dimensity 1080 for a week before returning it. I don't game and just use the phone for light web browsing. The chip was fine for this. However, the problem I found was with the video recording. The photo quality was still pretty good but the video quality was terrible compared to phones with flagship chips. No stablisation at 4k and the quality at 1080 with stablisation was really bad (at least compared to other phones I've used). I don't know if this was because of the chip or just done on purpose to distinguish the phone from more expensive models. Anyway, I at least want a phone that has a decent camera for photos and video, so therefore I feel I have to get one with a flagship chip.

So if Samsung uses Mediatek, they would have issues with their foundry sales. Also, until recently, Snapdragon was the genuinely better SoC maker. Which doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
        It wouldn't be surprising if Mediatek does better than Apple in its next SoC. It definitely neess wider adoption across devices.

          Yes. Buyers won't use this for AetherSX2 but for Facebook, Youtube, X, Instagram and Tiktok only.

            If Mediatek Soc is as good as this, why leading companies like Samsung refuses to lay hands on them? I mean what's the secret behind it.... I was shocked seeing Vivo sacrificing their best offer for the public for a Mediatek Soc! 😱

              These days considering chipsets and platform performance, Every phone has something welcoming to offer

              Overall if necessary I need an upgrade over my present device I think a GoOd bAtteRy life n less heaT while on heavy task is enough for a Go, not speed tests and differences in benchmarks.

                Well done mediatek.
                This only proves companies like Samsung or Google gives garbage for unreasonable high prices. This does everything for price that matters.

Please see the speed test is only a few milliseconds. Of course you will know if you compare it side by side but just try using it for a day with a mid range SoC phone.

Apart from gaming, I can still tell the difference between sd gen 1 and 2. App opening, tab opening, hell even putting videos in full screen is faster. So difference between 695 and sd gen 2 must be day and night and totally worth it, even for scrolling.

                            More companies should take this chip in their phones.

                                Beast performance, do people here need to know about stability tests, throttling, etc.? Since mostly just scrolling GSMArena and Instagram? Snapdragon 695 or Dimensity 1080 is more than enough.
