I have it right now and i can tell you it grew on me and started to love it even though it's Exynos. It performs very well and camera at night is great. Battery life has been great so far and exceeded my expectation.

It would be nice for Google to drop the Tensor chip and go back to Qualcomm to reap the battery life gains. But then Pixels may lose their 7-year software updates. I'd get a Pixel Fold if they had a Snapdragon version.

you forgot to mention that exynos modems are notorious for poor network performance

Your comment reeks of someone who cannot afford one.

A54 is the better choice, with one ui 6 its very smooth and the battery last the same as the S23. You missing out on camera quality, the main one is good but the lack of telephoto might be the downside for most.

                  Both are lame.
                  Both were unnecessary.
                  Both have poor battery endurance.
Both will be getting ultra hot.
Both will fail to sell all stock.
Both will fool fools that acquire it.
Both dont need to be reviewed, even 3.3 pts would be charity.

RealLifePhones, 20 Dec 2023People make such a huge deal out of the tiny differences th... moreYes however the price in Europe starts way higher than in the US and at it's current price point of 700€ on average across europe you're better off going for a regular S23 which you can find for around the same price since it's almost the same price and if you shop around you can find it for as low as 600.

And if the larger screen is what you want the S23+ can be had by shopping around for around 7-800€.

The S23FE makes sense only in the US at the moment everywhere else it's not worth the money

Lol such a turn off with this Exynos version - Snapdragon version treatment. Samsung better think more wisely in the future; if you want to make an exclusive version then better you make it exclusive 'logically' like for example in your home country like Xiaomi in China, not making a cr4p segmentation like this.

I'm kinda mad now lol, although still S23 FE is a decent upgrade from my LG G8X but I just bought it as there are no other phone is as good in the price tag in my country...

Whoever respect themself doesnt buy exynos version. You deserve as much better as us citizens guys. Just buy xiaomi or similar but do not feed these discriminators

if crappy 8 Gen 1 is better than Exynos then imagine how big of a difference would be if instead of 8 Gen 1 they put 8 Gen 3

People make such a huge deal out of the tiny differences these two chips have 😂
The only real difference is battery life and Samsung needs to work on idle-power on Exynos.
But the prices are regional and change over time so even if the number at launch is similar the phone drops in price faster in Europe compared to NA

Hope you will compare also s24 when it will be released.

                                        Fine comparison, thanks gsma.

So, the time for the honest answer : i would go with Exynos variant any day of the week. Didn't expect it to turn out all the way normal, but it is. Everything is in order with it, but having in particular more natural photo rendering, better videos and (!) more powerful graphics are choice defining features for me.

The sole questionable thing is its price: we in europe do seldomly have any considerable discounts, if any at all. So being 650E phone is a rather dubious perspective.

One would consider going with some china brands phones, maybe. Xiaomi 13T (Pro) ?
