If vivo crops 64mp to 50mp to increase range, the 100mm of Pro+ is probably cropped too, as I said months ago (200 cropped to 160, wgich would be 1.12x crop) ..

Many brands have done this. I do not like.

"But what I'm more impressed by is the camera system, which we already tested on the OnePlus Open "

It is not equal. Most important is super difference.
Results will be inferior compared to Open.

            My list:

            5) Google Pixel 8 Pro
            4) Huawei P60 Pro
            3) Honor Magic V2
            2) OnePlus Open/Oppo Find N3
            1) Vivo X100 Pro

              Nothing Phone 2? 🤣
Carl Pei sure is generous with those kickbacks.

I'm drunk so I'll put up my list tomorrow

                    Heres my list:

Nothing Phone (2) - Smooth phone with flagship chip and unique design.
One+ 12 - Best of the BEST. Galaxy S24U is shivering right now.
Samsung Galaxy A54 - Good enough midranger that competes with 778G and IP rating!
Poco F5 or Redmi K60 - Better than A54. For those EU and Asian consumers
Honorable mention to iPhone 15 - Camera and hardware; stunning but no 60hz
Honorable mention to One+ Open - really beats Z Fold 5 and is cheaper!

Interesting and very unique list, if a bit weird in my opinion. The ones that I'm not certain with would be the Nothing Phone 2 and the OnePlus 12.

While Nothing Phone 2 is great in pricing for a phone with the Snadpragon 8+ Gen 1, it doesn't have much of a difference compared to the much cheaper Nothing Phone 1, and the ultrawide is just not great because the Samsung JN1 sensor is both small and not a great sensor compared to other sensors around the same size or even compared to ones that are smaller. The camera software certainly isn't great either, so what is good about the hardware (the main camera uses an IMX890, which is good if not outstanding) doesn't translate to good pictures overall. Disappointing phone with not much of a reason to get overall, and if you don't care about the cameras but do care about the processor, you could always get a Xiaomi Poco F5 for less money and get better results for gaming.

OnePlus 12 is very good compared to the OnePlus 11, but I can't help but feel that it's overpriced for what it does when other BBK phones like the Realme GT5 Pro exist (its only problem being the 8MP ultrawide) at a much cheaper price and yet do the same thing. It's good, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't feel like it does anything that any other phone at an equivalent or even lower price point doesn't do. It lacks something unique that compells me to get it over something else that would justify its price point. Vivo has the macro-capable 4.3× periscope that can do 10× hybrid zoom with virtually no loss in quality as well as a gigantic main sensor with better 2× zoom quality than actual 2× telephotos; Realme has a macro-capable 3× periscope with a huge sensor; Oppo has TWO periscopes that can do 3× and 6× zoom and a huge ultrawide and gigantic main camera; etc. OnePlus doesn't have anything like that and just borrows hardware that's on the OnePlus Open/Oppo Find N3 despite having the space to work with even better camera hardware. OxygenOS itself isn't great either, and the phone is huge and has a very curved display, so at least something as major as cameras could've differentiated the phone.

Other than that, nothing wrong with the list at all. I personally would've replaced the Nothing Phone 2 with the Google Pixel 8 Pro, but that's probably me being biased towards Google Pixel phones in general, as the hardware upgrades aren't quite so drastic as some of the other phones that were released in 2023. OnePlus 12 would've meanwhile been replaced with the Huawei P60 Pro, as it was the first phone to have ten-step variable focal aperture and the first phone to have macro capabilities on the telephoto, not to mention the amazing image quality thanks to the very mature and very competent camera software.
