Has the best battery life and overall features in one phone. Im glad to see the company is paying it mind seeing as after a year im still getting all day battery life on hard use. I can agree people generally want smaller phones and lighter phones atleast thats what every millenial i talk to says including myself. But there is only so much you can squeeze and keep the price down unless your in the chinese phone market. Idk i do like oneplus myself but the curved screens nope me out fasttttt.

It's not fair that the S24 gets only 8gb ram and an FHD+ display. I prefer smaller phones and I do not like those specs. Luckily I do get SD8G3 CPU as I am in Canada. I wish Samsung upgrades the S24 too, I also want Samsung to keep the 10X zoom camera on the ultra model. Please send a positive reply if you agree with me.

So they want to update the plus version and let the compact version the same ?
Why not update the compact version ?
FHD screen and 8gb ram are for mid range phones not for flagships.

Even South Korea's S24 non Ultra got Exynos? Samsung really wants their in house built Exynos to shine (despite people hating Exynos, though that's not the case for the S23 FE, just developer not favoring the chipset).

Let's see how it fares with stability then: Will the new Exynos do better than SD (Gen 2)?

I think the specs table suggests that only the vanilla S24 will get the Exynos outside US/Canada; the SD chipset is situated between the S24 Ultra and S24+, while the Exynos is right below the standard S24.

So tired of the 12MP sensors... 24MP would be a nice change...

Also, the 50MP 5x telephoto is just pathetic vs the 10mp 3x telephoto.

40MP's of more resolution and only 2x more ? 🤦‍♂

            Since 10MP = 3x then
            20MP should be 6x
            30MP should be 9x
            40MP should be 12x
            and finally
            50MP should be 15x

because that's how logic would go.

1600 EUR for 512GB variant with exynos .. this is ridiculous.. look like they want only ultra to be sold in EU.

MUIE USR, 29 Dec 2023So goodbye 10x optical zoom and goodbye SD 8 GEN 3. Exynos ... moreOh don't worry the management making these decisions at Samsung will take the fall ahoukd too many vote with their dollars and not buy nor upgrade. Then theie direction will change along with review baords like gsmarena etc.

They'll take notice when the sale per unit drop significantly enough.

                    Specs are simply that.

The last 3 reports state SAME pricing as the S23 range for the S24 or slightly cheaper so not sure where your imagination of "overpriced" is coming from.

The Xynos 2400 if still a GOOD CPU with npu's and AI support something the SD 8 gen 2 does NOt support; along woth better Ray-Tracing for games if supported.

If all your use cases and features are still functional amd with equal or better battery life- then the SoC is NOT overpriced and its doing its job!

If I do a better job than you understand severely peak work loads every other day or can work much harder than YOU can with more workload but you're more efficient in normal tasks than I am ... and we have The same employer WHOM do you think should be paid more on the salary?! If not every day spec sheet testing is going to be done Noe heavy work loads is going to be often and we BOTH get the work completed in our daily shifts?!

                    Hmm?!

If I get the job done more accurately than you do in an 8hr shift but you complete the work- NOT as accurately in 7hrs but you need the extra 8 hrs to get the same qork done correctly and accurately as me: whom should be paid more?!

Neither we both get the job done equally in the same day to day shift.

This is pricey what Samsung is doing with both the SD vs Exynos SoC's

Just that one costs more on the signing bonus and the other got recommended in house by another employee for the jobs available.

Samsung is a juggernaut global player so each move is NOT for the fans bragging rights its for cost of software support long term brand recognition and reliance at the highest profits. This allows for more R&D spending each year.

Right now Samsung's only major GLOBAL competitor for the S23/S24 series is Apple and Google but Google isn't competing even close this year. Yet they got caught with theie pants down by Oppo and sub-brand OnePlus for the Fold devices.

So thata where theie R&D is being spent to knock out 2024 all competition or at least make them highly viable and grow sales for the Z Fold and Z Flip.

Higher profits per units sold there and higher costs for repairs to the end user for end user out of warranty damage! This is why you see a HUGE competition from China for Foldablw ans Flip device categories in 2022 to preeent.

Another 2-3yrs the folding glass will be incredibly sturdy and reliable without issues in hot cold or dust and fine sand nor water for IP68 rating!!

In 5yrs Smaung may release a rollable flagship.

But these candybar slabs will further be refined : liquid variable lens for various Zooms are just being introduced by others this year (a 15yr old promise being delivered). Once perfected prism and periscope cameras in phones will be done and pricing will drop as well.

Battery tech will advance giving us 3 day life minimum and not talking standby either.

This isn't F1 cars so companies gotta think long term - many are NOT backed financially by governments either.
