As a Samsung fan, I would like to say that by reading the 80% negative comments about this brand, stop deceiving people. You are trying to make more profit by making a small change in all models. You may be number one right now, but remember that other phone producing brands are right behind you. If there are no significant improvements in your devices, you will fall to the 3rd place after 1-2 years.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2023CDMA is dead in the US. US Cellular is shutting theirs dow... moreI know that, but Qualcomm's CDMA patents and their licensing fees are widely understood to be why virtually all phones sold in the US use Qualcomm modems. And given the competition (Google Tensor and Mediatek), they are better anyway. Europe (and most of the world for that matter) never adopted CDMA, so the Qualcomm patents weren't necessary. This was why Apple used to only use the Qualcomm modem for Verizon/Sprint/US unlocked phones, and Intel modems for everyone else that weren't CDMA compatible.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2023The ultra model is sold im Europe, with the Qualcomm SOC. A... moreThe Ultra model this year was SD based, just like the other model, but that wasn't always the case. The S22/S21/S20 Ultra all used Exynos.
Even if they also offer the S24 Utra with SD in Europe next year, that'll only be an exception to the rule.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2023Nope, not the case. The A54 is a popular phone in the US a... moreYou misunderstand me.
Samsung can make Exynos modems work in the US, but the network performance will be below that of SD 8. Which is why they use QC for the US. Because they can't afford to have bad reception on their premium phones. That's only valid for their premium phones, for lower-end phones that don't use the best 5G modems anyway, it's less of a problem.

Where did I say it's not?
"you really think the saving cost not including charger is going towards the consumer, im certain that profit going to samsung,"
Nowhere did I say savings go to Customer, but in my case, that's how it turned out. I bought 120W GaN charger that I can now use with every phone I get in the future, so I WILL NOT buy Samsung's charger with every new phone that comes without it in the box. So their saving penny on including one will not be outweighed by me buying it separately from Samsung, and not just once, but every time I decide to buy their phones.
See what I mean?
"also the included cable doesnt support the fast charging ? come on"
I know, I've commented on it stating I bought my own from a third party, screw Samsung.
"at this rate its only gonna hurt them if they carry on like this, I stopped buying samsung after the S7 edge and never looked back, I know they'll try to see what they can get away with after building market share but will only go so far imo"
I agree, with the small exception that I still buy their phones, but that's another matter entirely.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2023Easy.
Make versions of 64, 128, 256 and 512GB.
Let ... moreMajority of people want more and faster storage. Things have to move on, more storage, more speed, more efficiency, better screens etc
For them to be selling all those versions, precious resources would be wasted by keeping factories producing smaller and slower storage, legacy versions, only for some people to buy it a little cheaper. Flagships are called flagships for a reason. If you want smaller storage, buy cheaper phones who still have that option.
Move along with it.

ua82, 29 Dec 2023Lmao you just defending the stagnation is incredible this i... moreI don't think that's what he does - he's simply reasonable.
While I agree Samsung lags behind competition when it comes to charging speed, it really isn't that extreme of an approach to just charge your phone in advance for the whole day. And when you have a problem of finding yourself repeatedly in a situation of 30% battery at the beginning of the day, and not enough time to charge it, then clearly charging speed isn't the only issue around.
That said, there's always competition to have you covered so you have exactly what you need from another company. Moaning about Samsung's crap charging speed changes nothing because you're not the only one, and this problem didn't start yesterday and yet big S is just ignoring it for quite a while now. It would seem then that majority of people find their charging speed if not acceptable, then at the very least outbalanced by other pros of their products.
I really don't know how to ask Samsung to improve this part of their phones, with their current CEO, it seems just impossible.

SOMAYU, 28 Dec 2023And for added insult to injury, they don't even give t... moreIndeed. That's why I've bought my own fast charger and 5A charging wire and will no longer rely on supplied brick. In a way I thank Samsung and Apple for it: the GaN charger at my desk now charges everything I need - headsets, phones, smartwatches, Nintendo, you name it. And there's only one to do it all, and for many years to come. It's their loss caused by their own greed, but I have been educated and found out that I don't need to rely on their "generosity".

The Underdog, 28 Dec 2023The Exynos units should be 50% cheaper as they'll be h... moreWell, I know I won't be buying it...not even considering this years Samsung.
And their tactics to make Ultra more appealing, buy destroying other two device won't made me spend 1500€ on Samsung.
OnePlus 12 will be perfect replacement if Vivo doesn't come to Europe with Pro version of their already best android device.
I've could think of buying S23Ultra as better option then s24+, but now it's a ting of a pride.... Samsung is trying to make fools of us, so I really don't want to give my money to them.
I was stupid enough for years to overpay Exynos powered trash, just like their smartwatches with tragic battle life and sensors that doesn't have a touch with reality

With that pricing, instead of s24+ or ultra just buy the iPhone 15 pro max. Next year, with Apple trade-in 15 pro max will be worth 800euros but Samsung only pays around 400 at most for their last years flagships.

Why they can't use 50mp for x3 and uw?
So boring.
P.S. it looks like they don't want our money. Only 50mp x5 instead 10mp x10. Is it all?

I'm a little late to the party, but some of the specs are disappointing. Namely, the 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. This has been standard on the Galaxy series since 2019. Charging speeds are surprisingly stagnant, but perhaps Samsung is scared of another Note 7 fiasco. Still, they're not slow. Cameras are pretty stagnant too. Thus far the S24 appears to be a mid-level refresh rather than a full upgrade. Prices are likely being kept low amid economic uncertainty. With rumors rumbling of Snapdragon Oryon cores being used in the S25 in 2025, that might be a year that sees a more significant overhaul. Still, for anyone with an S9-S20, the S24 would be a worthy upgrade. Anyone more recent should hold on for next year.
