Anonymous, 11 Jan 2024Right? Then every year bright big upgrades pretty much. Now... moreapart from tech geeks, people are mostly upgrading these days just to show if they could afford the recent products. designer labels, fancy cloths, recent gadgets which are mostly sold for show off, look rich.
personally I simply dont mind what people do with their money but those basically create an environment where others are pushed towards buying/spending like them. I would say, thats toxic.

I feel like the AI thing have no big impact and mostly achieved already by Xiaomi or Huawei. I am waiting for something big changes coz it’s losing my appetite to update otherwise.

Now even if you wait 4 years it's not that amazing.... and that's not because there isn't available tech or room for improvement...or as if we don't pay enough. Just greedy companies cheaping out

“… we expect the S24 Ultra to shave off a similar amount of weight.” Really??
All leaks seem to suggest this is going to be the heaviest Samsung Ultra phone ever! Which makes me really angry because Samsung’s S-series Ultra phones have ALWAYS been lighter than the rubbish iPhone pro max and that’s one reason I’ve always preferred Samsung. I’ll have to think twice before trading in my iPhone 15 Pro Max for the S24 Ultra if it’s heavier.

DarlingYext, 04 Jan 2024Geez, sorry my bad for not knowing it well. If that's ... moresorry for sounding a bit rude if it seemed but that was never the intention.
annyway, Li-po is Li-ion too just use a different substrate. apple and samsung uses different substrate for the battery and it varies a lot so they mostly just write Li-Ion. interestingly both of them outsource it.

Kriegsherr, 04 Jan 2024Simply no. both have pros and cons but Li-Po batteries win ... moreGeez, sorry my bad for not knowing it well. If that's the case tho, then why are all the "big names" like Apple, Samsung and Google launching their phones with Li-Ion? Why is it seemingly only them doing so?
I completely accept that (if) I was wrong, but I want to know more why Li-Po is better. So far to me it also seems like it is better, as I'm using phones with such battery technology, and extremely fast charging (like 180W), with no damage, but I guess I've also partially believed that Li-Ion would be the better one if the 2 biggest smartphone companies are using that.
