Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra - what to expect

"Apple shaved off nearly 20g from its biggest phone by using titanium, and we expect the S24 Ultra to shave off a similar amount of weight."

Huh? Apple managed to shave the weight because the previous Pro/Pro Max used stainless steel. Previous S23 Ultra used aluminum. I don't see using Titanium would shave any significant weight for Samsung. Worse, it might increase the weight as Titanium is denser than aluminum.

        Some are better at some stuff, while other better at other stuff.
        S23U is not best at anything.
        But samsung logo maks media say it is.

        Samsung has much more money to invest on phones compared to any brand except Apple.
        S23U should have had best components available. But it does not.
        Samsung has obligation to give best , no matter if the bill of materials increases $150-200.

        The iphonization has not worked and samsung keeps insisting on it.

        S7 Edge : $750 , 25 million units sold
        S23: $750 , no more than 8 million units sold.

          Here is what to expect: overpriced, slow-charging phone, which at least has Snapdragon in all regions.

                        Multicore of 3800 is way enough.

                        In the end, ppl do on these phones exactly same thing they used to do on their phones of 2-3 years ago.

                          What to expect

                          - 8bit oled that has M material two generations behind Iphone 16 Pro Max, with poor calibration (vivid, punchy, warm) that you can never fix even using RGB sliders. All this when samsung should use the QD Blue oled like the one from sony tvs made by samsung.

                          - still useless curved screen, less curved than usual but still bit. Like S21u.

                          - low bitrate for videos when should be 4K@30 57Mbps, 4K@60 120 Mbps, 4K@120 160Mbps and 8K@30 400Mbps.

                          - photos with tons of NR to wipe out noise, then tons of sharpening to make ppl wrongly believe photos are full of details , something bias youtubers will be backing up samsung.

                          - slower performance compared to phones with same 8g3.

                          - Ti frame that is not 100% Ti but mixed with Al just like iphone.

                          - 4,7 or 4,8 score here for unknown reason when it does not deserve, no surprise when NO CON was mentioned for S23U despite many of these issues are present there as well.

                            This is really shaping up to be the most boring phone of the year.

                              Last Samsung phone that got me genuinely excited was the S21 Utra. From there, the upgrades were smaller and smaller with each generation

                                    "and it will be the company's best phone yet"
                                    That good in fact, that after a long string of Notes and Ultras - indeed people judged me a Samsung fanboy, just reading the previews, determined me to order an older Xperia 1 V. I have more beautiful tiles in my bathroom, not to mention cheaper too.

                                        Note 20 ultra has kept me satisfied since it came out.
                                        Glorious phone,hard to upgrade to this years ultra.
                                        Maybe s25 ultra will make me switch😅
