Yes, Snap 8 Gen 2 is an awesome powerhouse. I have the IQOO 11 which I have been using for last 3 months which is based on this processor. It is blazing fast. To boot, the IQOO11 has a 2K AMOLED display which is simply yum! Even with IQOO 12 they have downgraded the Samsung 2 display into a Chinese 1.5K display which is a bummer. Hope OnePlus 12R comes with the same 6.82 inch 2K display as the OnePlus 12 - then it would be great. If not I would recommend the IQOO11 over the OnplePlus 12R as the former will have good discounting soon and matches or exceeds most specs of OnePlus 12R

justasmile, 03 Jan 2024Nearly there though, the 12 and even the 12r have curved screens.Yeah, ideally I'd prefer a flat screen also but unfortunately nearly all the top Chinese Android flagships have curved screens. Only some of the entry level ones have flat screens

Flat screens please that is all. No more curved screens just not one handed friendly.

Yes, a telephoto would be a much better option for a secondary lens, but why do you think they are still not on budget phones? Money probably.

I don't get the ultrawide love. It's good for cinematic video, yes. But pictures? You can get nearly similar results by stepping back enough so there's more in frame for the main wide lens. If it comes to one lens or the other, telephoto should always be the choice... as long as it's over 2x zoom.

justasmile, 03 Jan 2024Eh, an 8mp ultrawide for that dumb curved screen. Redmi, Iqoo and Oneplus all have the 50mp, 8mp, and 2mp setup although Redmi and Iqoo do have flat screens in the k70 and Iqoo neo 9. Anyway, at least there is one brand that matches your requirements!
