OnePlus 12R's 5,500mAh battery and LTPO 4.0 display confirmed
OnePlus has an ongoing teaser campaign for the OnePlus 12R - the company took to its Indian X account to confirm the design of the phone and to tease that it's coming on January 23. The teaser labeled the 12R as 'Smooth Beyond Belief'.
These latest teasers tie in nicely with that last bit, revealing the phone has an LTPO 4.0 display, which is capable of a wide range of refresh rates, including 72Hz and 90Hz.
OnePlus also says the 12R has the biggest battery it's ever put into a phone - indeed the 5,500mAh capacity is around 2% bigger than the one in the OnePlus 12.
OnePlus confirmed some of the 12R's key specs
The OnePlus 12R will arrive alongside the OnePlus 12 on January 23. LTPO tech aside, its display is a 6.78-inch unit with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The chip of choice is 2023's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and it's mated with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. We expect a 50MP IMX890 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro, and charging will most likely be 100W.
