Their software is also crappy and laggy after you update, especially on a new version of One UI. They'll even update the bootloader to stop you going back to an old version deliberately so you can use your phone better. Nobody ever talks about the dark side of Samsung.

Oliver Wafula, 04 Jan 2024Hope it will apply to midrangers tooMarketing strategy applies to all products! I mean, marketing BS applies to all products - they'll feature those fancy words in advertising EVERYWHERE!!! Not that actual hardware will improve, only marketing terms.

""customer-first" strategy [...] with a focus on performance and quality"
And that's why they remove features, like headphone jack, remove charges from the box and ask for more money. Right. Focus on profits, maybe?

Enough with the green, start innovating more again.

Let's be clear. The current form factorof smartphone is this way becaus that's how people like them: thin, light, made out of glass.

There is absolute no scientific way to make a phone that looks like an iPhone resist drops. Unless you come across a magical material that allows you to do that.

Lee, 04 Jan 2024So did you bought a apple phone? What? I had iPhone and then I bought S23 Ultra last year when it came out. I still have it. Great phone when it works. When things don't work, that's where I wish I'd have iPhone. Because you can actually contact someone there and report a problem without having to take device physically to a service center for an obvious software issue.

About time they started. Are they sure with it being their first foray into performance and quality, they can handle biting off AI, too?

How about before you go for the gimmicks, you make something capable first. Only phone I've had that would actually freeze typing on text-heavy pages. It was an S9, it was contemporary.

Also - they should focus on unbundling their bloat, too. So many easier things to improve samsung! Maybe once those brains of your design teams start getting a few dips and valleys here and there, you can enjoy playing smartphone with the other kids.

Hope it will apply to midrangers too

So, I'm not allowed to criticize bad things about Android phones and highlight positives of iPhones? Apparently not per your brilliant logic.

Pointless article which the employees at GSM are just pushing samsung aggressively still. Other companies dont get this level of attention or have employees wanting to make an article for every angle of this dirty company and their average and overrated devices they make.

Hey, xiaomi is focusing on cameras, performance and A.I. This year, oh look Google has improved its cameras, overall performance and a.i. Features. Oh look i just did your job for you GSM, real simple when im actually correct using simple logic to write the comment but remember, its not samsung!

                                  "technological supremacy"?
Samsung OLEDs are made on Japan machines, processors on ASML (Dutch) machines,
chemicals for processors production from Japan. What supremacy?

Most comments just demonstrate a complete misunderstanding of the word "performance" which is understandable because many of us are not native speakers.
But "with a focus on performance and quality" is not referring to "speed" or the "performance" of chips. They talk about the performance of the company/people/services!

But that is only for S series. A series is still dead in the water when performance is in question.

I can't help but think that Samsung should utilize the Exynos line by giving similar support as Google's Tensor line, especially the seven-year software support period.
