Update released -> bricked phone for some users -> need to pay big ammount of money to repair it.

As someone who use to work at the Genius bar @ Apple for 4 years, Can 100% confirm if you're device is out of warranty and an update bricked your phone (at least 5 people per day come in with this issue) they will tell you to buy a new phone. Warranties only last 1 year so literally it can be an iPhone 14 and they'd be like welppp good luck.
