Samsung is working on a 50W dual USB-C charger and a new 45W charger

We don't expect any of the Galaxy S24 phones to go above 45W, the small S24 will even be capped at 25W.

I have never seen my S23 Ultra charge anywhere near 45W, even on 65W chargers. It was more like 32W at its peak. And even those 32 watts had exactly the same charge time as some other 25W charger. Hell, GSMArena tested their official 45W charger and had almost no benefit in speed over 25W official charger. Samsung's charge speeds make no sense at all.

    Samsung and Apple: Just the cable and the phone. Figure it out.

    Literally everyone else: phone, case, AC adapter (more than 50W). the cable and just to be fun, we're gonna add a screen protector.

      An unconfirmed story if true Samsung are late to picnic (not out to lunch). Multi port 65W have been available for years! I only say this as above 65W the price rockets, citing one example

        About time, Samsung. Still, not impressive, but about time for an upgrade. And a bigger one (say 65W) would've been much more appreciated

          45W and 50W charger meh.
          And one will cost 50 bucks no thanks.
          One worth 50 bucks the 125W charger i had in box with my Motorola edge 40 pro along with cable, case and a screen protector.
          Only said charger at Motorola shop is 50 bucks and thats 125W.
          All that included in equal specced phone to S23 Ultra which cost 1600 euros brand new when released with zero accesories in box while i bought mine for 789 euros with said accesories in box. So less than half price and got more than just phone.
          Shame on Samsung they cant provide proper accesories anymore and they cant give cheaper phones when competition can provide equal specced devices for much less money.
          The only thing they have better is list of updates but thats aint worth 800 eur or 900 if i include price of genune accesories i got in box with my phone compared to samsung.

              Samsung Electronics a scummy company tbh.

              First they paid people to rip on HTC.
              Then they basically bullied Apple for removing an AC Adapter. Then they did the same..
              Now, they're pulling an Apple and offering stuff like this. More expensive stuff but literally the same besides MINOR tweaks.

              Massive hypocrite but make decent phones.

                Needless to say, these new chargers will be purchased separately; "Like many other smartphone manufacturers, Samsung no longer includes a charger in the box of its phones"


                You have to be cheeky or a die-hard Fanboy to post this! Almost all BBK group cell phones come with a charger in the box, oneplus, OPPO, realme* and others when it has a fast charge of more than 60w, this is precisely why Samsung, Apple, Google, Sony do not do it, so as not to having to put the charger in and sell it to you separately! We are in a generation that allows you to receive something that has to be charged to work but without the charger for it hahahaha

                  Why are they working on charger? They dont even bundle the charger with mobile

                  Is it just to sell it separately ?

                    A charger that will be used for 1 generation, and then straight back to the 25w in the next generation.

                    We have seen it before, Samsung. Stop embarrassing yourself. You can't provide it for more than 1 generation, exactly like the USB 3, and the 45w charger. USB 3 was note 3, and never seen again. 45w was s20 (if I remember correctly) and never again.

                        What is there to work on? Don't you bust open a Xiaomi/Huawei/Realme/OnePlus charger and look at it.

                          Samsung thinks their apple and can use a worse chip and charging than the other models 😂😂😂

                            Im pissed of always having slow charge in my S23 Ultra
