I has Type 1.0 sensor and 2 periscope modules.
Still, I am sure some ppl will be complaining it does not have same 5400mAh of other BBK flagships.

The camera set up is definitely intriguing, although I personally couldn't care less about periscope cameras. I use the ultra-wide lenses WAY more and those have been criminally neglected by all OEMs.

As for the phone itself, it's unfortunately the same crappy offering as everyone else: ridiculously oversized, with an ugly bump and without basic features like expandable storage, a headphone jack or a camera button (which ANY phone claiming to care about photography should have).

Title confuses me. Wasn't the Xperia 1 iii the first flagship with a dual periscope?

Super Android 22, 08 Jan 2024Even though the maxed out option is less than $1000? I mean... moreI was comparing to the other CN branded releases, I dont even care for Samsung or Apple I just laugh to the people paying them that much
my own use case, camera isnt the most important so for me I'll be going with the cheaper Oneplus 12 CN version flashing it to Oxygen saving me having to pay extra for the global version

Vivo X100 Pro seems a better option. It has pretty much the same hardware, the same photo quality and most importantly it costs less and available globally.

I mean samsung or apple would be charging what, $1600 minimum for that spec sheet of a device, that ram and storage option with those charge speeds, that level of quality screen, generally the extra hardware features you get (dont know if they still do the 360° nfc like my find x5 has) and actually has a bit of flair and personality instead of an 8 year old design (apple) and the most safe and boring design on the market (samsung).

                  Some jokers on here lol.

It was left behind with the battery, this must have a 5,500 cell, which is the rising trend

                          So you're beautiful/handsome ha?

So probably you're one of those taking the phone out, putting it in selfie mode in a nature area, in a museum, in a church, in a concert showing off

"oh look I'm so gorgeous, omg please look at my beauty and admire as much as much you can. Btw yeah I'm in a concert but concert doesn't matter, I matter. Because I couldn't manage to humble my self ego and I seek approval from others to see/admit my beauty"

You're also one of those probably when we enter to his/her profile, the profile is just full of your face videos and selfies. Why? Because you don't have a life and you don't want to share with people what you really see. You just share and get like for yourselves.

I laugh at people's obsession over selfie cameras. That trend was years back. Many company put, not even one but two cameras to cover your so called "amazing omg omg he/she is so so so so beautiful" face. Trend is now towards photography. Unless you're a rdcls "influencer" who can't even help himself/herself, you don't even need 4k.

But maybe you're feeling sorry for your loved ones that can't see your gorgeous face in 4k during video calls? Wait for 8k until they'll see every back hole, oily pores :)

justasmile, 08 Jan 2024And you can now zoom up to 1km!Will it zoom through the milky way galaxy?

Akarius, 08 Jan 2024One more phone that looks like hardware's Holly Grail,... moreThe can, but they won't. Looking at chinese population - inner market is big enough to swallow everything. They even have more war ships than US :-)

The HyperTone system seems truly promising. Right now photos go from the one on the right (with no highlight detail) to the left one (boosted shadows, not enough contrast due to that and blown out highlights). I think this is the first time I'm seeing a company pushing for realistic HDR details, Oppo has always struggled with HDR, they don't have realistic scene colors/exposure but struggle with highlights. Hopefully they can at least fix one of those, create realistic lighting OR fix highlights. If that happens then this phone is an absolute win in terms of photography. Videography is something they're not that great at, Xiaomi is currently the best at that (judging by Notebookcheck's banger comparisons). As a phone though Vivo's ones are better as they usually have better thermal management/cooling (saw it in TechNick's videos). And the Find X7 Ultra doesn't have a 5400 Mah battery which is kinda funny considering even the Oneplus 12 and Realme GT5 Pro get this. What's surprising is the fact that Oppo and Oneplus use Li-poly and Vivo and Realme use Li-ion, I've used a budget phone with li poly and use a flagship with li ion and battery degradation is the same/similar imo so nothing much to say but it's just weird considering that li-ion is usually considered better. The use of an IMX 858 is kind of disappointing considering Xiaomi has used the same sensor as well, Oppo should've gone for the OV64B sensor considering it's larger and is giving amazing shots on the X100 Pro. Seems even the base X6 uses it, maybe it's too big for 6x?

Anyways, OPPO PLEASE bin down the selfie images, the sensor is fine, processing is DECENT as well but NO ONE needs 32 MP selfies. They might "want" it but they don't need it. Why put such good hardware to such poor use like these sensors are very good compared to what we had a few years ago. The HDR shots are bad and that's the only issue rn with these cameras apart from 1080p video which to be frank isn't that bad looking at Vivo X100 Pro's one.

Some of the colours in the photos look like water colours. Not sure why they're grossly overdone.
Hardware-wise the specs seem very impressive.
Good independent reviews would go a long way in checking the camera prowess. It's great that smartphone lenses are getting brighter and sensors larger. The final bit depth is also getting higher. Hopefully processing eventually helps circumvent almost all physical limitations of smaller sensors.

DarlingYext, 08 Jan 2024The beast of the year!Too early to conclude.

One more phone that looks like hardware's Holly Grail, and once more China-only.
Can they build anything for the global market without infringing on someone's patent rights?
No wonder Samsung doesn't care, China's market is huge, but the global one is bigger and there's nearly no competition there.
