Anonymous, 08 Jan 2024Was planning to buy a 2nd hand iPhone also, is it worth it? Depends on you and how long you are using phones. If you change your phone once per 5 years let's say, I suggest go for new iPhone.
If you change it more frequently like me, than second hand iPhone is the only way to go. They are too expensive to buy new ones each year.
Another point to take into consideration is if you used IOS before or not. Some people may not like it. I remember when I got my first iPhone (after 10 years of Android), it was an iPhone 8 I think, I throw it away after 1 month of usage, I said I will never touch an iPhone again. Later on I got an iPhone 11 and I like it more, also IOS gotten better. Then I got iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12 and it was good for me. All iPhones I bought second hand, though.
But now I am again on Android (I got bored of IOS).

Headphones:
A plethora of consumer and professional studio grade Headphones. Wireless headphones and TWE with outstanding best in class noise cancellation (yes they won 2023 and 2022 best awards).
Gaming:
The major take that PlayStation One beat Nintendo Sega CollecoVision etc was simply based on traditional Japanese writing and cut-scenes their literature is famous for ! Not simply the games - there was over 10x the titles not available outside of Japan! Yet the system outsold everything and continues to do so yeat after year after year!
TVs probably THE best in the industry in terms of technology and quality! Only Samsung comes close.
Cameras :
Long ago and up to recently partnering with Ericsson to push cameras into cellphones very early on - envisioned their businesses into the future.
Mirrorless lenses literary changed thr industry like a pin on its head!
Sensors business is the creme de la creme !!
There is a LOT more!
You kiddies only have short hand speeches and gripes yet no real understanding of the ground you walk and strut on! There are some geniuses in youth but not to thr magnitude to advance civilization onward that has occurred the last 3 generations:
Skyscrapers, locomotive, carsdpace travel, chemistry, biology, metallurgy! Literary EVERYTHING we all know and use today.
So stop this age hating and make something better.

Huawei was very close before the Huawei ban, but Apple's sales in China grew massively after the Huawei ban. If Huawei can sort out the chip supply problem then they will likely regain a lot of that market share from Apple though. At the moment though the Mate 60 series still can't be purchased direct from Huawei due to a massive shortage in the supply of the Kirin processor. There are still plenty of people that will choose Apple because they are invested in the ecosystem and their friends and family all use them regardless of whether or not there are better Android alternatives.

You failed far too long to being USB-C and ir SHOULDVE been TB3/4 to really take advantage of USB-C port and start an industry first!
^ even with that your marketing of using an external drive for ProRes recording FWLL SHORT of real woeld use = I owned a 512GB iPhone 15 Pro for 14 days ans returned this afternoon trying several USB-C drives just to do this!

Terrible software, false promises, never properly fixing your services or completing what you state will occur (aka iMessage in ICloud still is a fail after 8yrs! Restoring health data from Appewatch backup ads another duplicate entry into the backup which is utterly confusing to thr end user!!)
I couldn't believe how blind of a cheerleader I was for sooo long - comparing iOS to a dead horse and resistance to try android for over a decade with patience (3wks or less isn't trying fyi) super happy I jumped the iOS sinking ship in August 2023 and never looking back.

Those who earn $10,000 or more in a year, can easily buy $1,000 phone.
That's economics.
Earn less than that, go buy $100 phone and stop bragging.
Try to get a job that offer more salary per year.

Yeah, its shocking that the phones with higher price tags have no ads. My point is Xiaomi need income from ads to substitute for lower selling prices. Even Samsung and Apple have tried putting ads in their phones. Realme is also getting rampant with ads on their recent phones.

Hoping for Huawei.
By the way past Iphone 12 all hpones were litterary the same just a little bit improved CPU and GPU few more mAh to battery 2 more ram and camera improved by OS update and thats it.
In other words for half the price litterary every chinese competitors beats with their flagships 15 Pro max and even their top end midrangers or flagship killers beats anything made by Apple.
Upcomming virtual reality by Apple ends with no difference.
Even project Titan aka Apple car been beaten by Xiaomi in just less than 2 years where Apple is working on project titan for like 10+ years or so.
