Same cores 78+55, same gou, same ... morethey're not entirely the same. 4g1 and 695 have a stronger gpu (adreno 619) and the 4g2 has the adreno 613, which is a lot weaker. I.E. you can find them for sale in 202 out of 206 countries in world with their shops or stores and service centres.

If you want a 5G-capable device, there's few devices on or below $200 mark but comes with their sort of compromise (4GB RAM, subpar display, less storage, meh camera etc). This one ups all those issues, perhaps except the software support, but lacks 5G and comes with Helio G99 that started to show its age. All things considered it's looking to be a popular lower-midrange phone.

What use do 3 or more years of software updates have if a battery or something else is busted at the time and you can't get the proper part from the OEM.

Bought the 5G version a few weeks ago, and if I knew this was coming with a much better spec sheet I'd have waited and gotten the 4G version

The " My phone is basically used as PlayStation " ppl called it underpowered when it is near 845 level. And 845 is more than enough for everything.
Lack of 4K is not their main concern.
The same ppl give freen pass because they still think mediatek is China, when it is not.
If qualcomm announces chip with A76 tomorrow, they will be making giant scandal.

Funny ppl her... moreSD 695 was bashed because it was used by all OEMs in hundreds of phones launched in the last 2 years. And it did not have one basic feature (4K video recording) which was available in mid-range SoCs (SD 625) from even 6 years ago. Other than the lack of 4K video recording, SD 695 was a very fine chip for the mid-range phones.
It was really pathetic from Qualcomm to remove such a basic feature in an important SoC which was used in hundreds of phones with millions of users.

Snapdragon is best. Mediatek helio is desaster. Phone would be piece of junk. Should not go fo this combination. Too old.
