It's so weird when everyone addresses software support as "3 years of major OS updates and 4 years of security updates" making it sound like it's 7 years of updates in total where they count 3 of the security update years within the major updates? Why? Why am I only one who addresses this as 3+1 software support or 3 years of major Android updates and 1 year of only security updates after? Which is much more obvious description and much more obviously tells people it's just 4 years in total and not 7. And before you all scream "it's obvious to us!", the "us" drooling over phones every day are not the majority of users and this kind of weird information just makes users more confused over software support on phones.

Isn't it kinda expected that if they release full updates, that they also release security updates in that time frame? Where security only updates after are not that obvious.

Anyway, it's good to see Poco phones will get longer software support as whole and I hope they don't count it as "1 update happened" when they launch new phone with old Android version even though new version has been around months prior. That would be sucky, like for the regular X6 which comes with older version where X6 Pro comes with latest one out of the box. You'd essentially lose 1 update this way for absolutely no logical reason...

PatrickCzech, 11 Jan 2024And software full of adds. People are already complainig.Do you know what YouTube is? Your phone is smart but not you. Open YouTube and search 'how to disable Xiaomi MIUI ads' as simple as that. If you are too lazy for type, open google assistant to helping you to search it. Make yourself smarter with your smartphone not the opposite

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2024Exactly. It makes no sense.Redmi K series never go to global market, it's exclusive to china market
Otherwise it will go to global market as Poco or xiami / Mi T series

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2024Who cares about faster memory and ram if half the time is s... moreWhat are you even talking about? 100mah (5%) difference is huge for you? In what world? And charging speeds are same for both the phones. So why do you think a person with X6 Pro would be running around, searching for charging his/her phone, while a person with X6 would not? Both phones should be good enough to get through the day for most of the users. Even the ultra heavy users would get enough power with a quick 15 minute charging to get through the rest of the day. X6 pro is simply the better phone when compared to X6 and it is priced accordingly. Not sure what your point is.

The X6 Pro is an EXCEPTIONAL package, as long as you are not fastidious about the cameras. Fantastic performance (~1.500.000 points in AnTuTu 10), great screen (1.5K resolution, 12-bit, high brightness, Dolby Vision), cutting edge memory speeds (UFS 4.0), 480Hz touch sampling (great for games which require very fast and very precise swipes) and the cherry on the cake: extended software support. Light weight, too.

With this price, it wil be very popular and top the recommendation charts. Say hello to the new price-performance king!

Also, Poco X6 pro has better battery endurance compared to X6, even though the pro model has 100 mah lower battery capacity.

Poco F2 Pro and Poco F5 Pro takes this as offense.

PatrickCzech, 11 Jan 2024And software full of adds. People are already complainig.Lmao just buy samsung then, they still give you option to disable it easily and here you complain,

"Poco X6 Pro boots Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14 while X6 will launch with the older MIUI 14.."

So that means you instantly lose out on 1 OS update with the X6. Why launch it with an older software when they could've clearly launched it with the new one?
