It's official, we already have them in the tech store that I work for. We had them for a few days but nobody told us anything about them, they were mixed with V1 and I found out today when a customer wanted to buy one. It's the same price by the way and they released V2 models for all non limited edition colors.

Even though I am 40 years old, so building a PC now feels less fun that it did when I was 15-25 years old.
Also, game developers nowadays seem to make games better for consoles and leave the PC part at the end. Not to mention the video cards prices are very high. True, the RAM and storage are very cheap, so is balanced somehow with the graphic cards prices.
But, I think is possible to make a decent gaming PC (1080p/1440p gaming) with 600EUR (without monitor and accessories). That's not too far away from the prices of current consoles.

Now, is not so bad for me, because I am gaming on monitor, so I am close to the actual console, I just game with the controller plugged in (if necessary).
But I remember in the past when I had PS consoles and had them connected to the TV, I always had to buy extra long cable (2-3m) to be able to game with the controller plugged in the console. Not to mention I had a cable running around the living room between the couch and the TV table.
I am guessing Sony released this new controller just to make customers buy this one. Make some extra money from accessories half way the PS5 life cycle. Lol.
They could have just release this better one at the start. Sony.. enough said.

I bought PS5 digital edition and my PS5 controller has drift in one of the joysticks after 2 weeks.

And when I went to the gaming shop for warranty purposes they said I need to wait between 2-4 weeks for the problem to be resolved. And when I asked them what I will do now, that I will not play on my newly bought PS5, they said "Ohh, you can just buy second controller", lol. Yeah no thanks, and if that one has the same problem, what I will do? Plus the extra money.
I had many consoles starting with PS3, PSP, PS Vita, PS4 slim, PS4 Pro, Xbox 360 E, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Wii Mini, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite. Is my first time when I have experienced drifting in a controller/joystick.
And after I read so many other cases with drifting in the PS5 controllers, looks like I am not the only one. So yeah.. Sony is becoming more and more greedy and making less quality products. No wonder their mobile division is so bad.

ControllerFault, 12 Jan 2024Hope their left stick will get extended lifecycle as well, ... moreMore than that, games should stop forcing people to click/press the joystick for oft-used controls like sprinting, meleeing or rear-view. That's the fastest way to break the joystick.
They could just offer replaceable and hot-swappable joysticks as the joysticks break long before any other button and I think these guys make their money off that. But why do that when they can instead make a "Pro" controller and rip customers off for something that should be an option on the base controllers?

Their battery life is a joke. I don't know why they don't follow Xbox's example and leave space for AA batteries.
If you buy a pair of Energizer AA rechargeable 2000 mAh batteries, they last MONTHS on a single charge and you never have to buy another pair of batteries again. Or if you want fully charged batteries you can just use regular batteries. Or you can buy the official Xbox recharge pack (but it's much worse than the Energizer batteries, so I would recommend using them instead).
Either way, whatever you want, you can do it. That's a huge win for Xbox. I thought Sony would ditch the irremovable built-in battery after the DualShock 4.
