analog stick will eventually drift with usage
but IF new one drifiting, then high possibility its faulty one, u should ask for replacement
but nowdays, there many ways to fix the issue
there mods chips or get magnetic one that will last much longer

Hope their left stick will get extended lifecycle as well, because drifting is spotted even in new controllers.

Also a lot use there phones for that too.
I dont think that it's like a thing that you need to have Sony camera for youtubers videos when some even use webcams
