Given that it is fabbed by Samsung, it is guaranteed to have worse efficiency compared to 8Gen3 when is fabbed by TSMC.

It's very simple. Exynos = no need to pay the Qualcomm tax = higher profit margins.
If Exynos 2400 were that good, why didn't they use it on the S24 Ultra phones?
If I buy a Samsung phone, I will avoid anything Exynos. And if that's a midrange A-series Samsung phone, I will get one with a Mediatek chip (shoutout to the A34).

As an Australian that bought myself a S23 with a hefty 30% discount 4 months ago the announcement that our market will once again see the return of the loathed Exynos SoC in the S24 makes me one happy purchaser! However, long term, this pisses me off that this is a constant "less for more" proposition for our part of the world. Won't ever purchase another Samsung with an Exynos in it.

I just hope Samsung will improve the fabrication process for the chipsets. Snapdragon 888, 888+, and 8 Gen 1 can't squeeze all the performance because of excessive throttling.

No Regrets , 17 Jan 2024There is so much ignorance out there I didn't want to ... moreYou're the one being ignorant if you think people mock and hate Exynos for their performance.
Their long running issue is their efficiency.

Exynos is great in terms of power efficiency and also performance. It delicately tailors 10 core processor like no other. Snapdragon gen 3 is just rubbish.

No Regrets , 17 Jan 2024There is so much ignorance out there I didn't want to ... moreBenchmarks are irrelevant- people barely notice a split second difference in app opening speed, and only a few people even push their phones hard enough to benefit from peak performance. Exynos models have been inferior to Snapdragons for the past few generations mainly because they just use more power than their Snapdragon counterparts. You can see runtime comparisons of the S20's , S21's, S22's - the exynos models are always a few hours down on screentime versus their snapdragon counterparts despite the same screen and batteries. Case in point, the S23, S23+, and S23U all have amazing runtimes, but the S23FE has a mediocre battery score because of the Exynos 2200- and they've had years to tune the consumption at this point.

JoXim, 17 Jan 2024If you love Samsung, s23 plus is the best buy right now.Well.... S23 series will skyrocket HARD. SD 8 Gen 2 is a true beast and unless SD7 + Gen 3 appears with SD 8 Gen 2 config, is hard to find a cheap replacement. Not even the beast Dimensity 8300 can pull it.

No Regrets , 17 Jan 2024There is so much ignorance out there I didn't want to ... moreNobody cares about benchmarks, each year they say that the exynos is going to be as good as the snapdragon, and it always turns out to be a huge lie, how do you want people to trust them again. So let me give you a small hint, if the exynos is really that good, why go for the sd exclusively on the ultra model. Differences won't be noticed by the average user at first, but a couple of software updates and it will get more obvious.

No Regrets , 17 Jan 2024There is so much ignorance out there I didn't want to ... moreWho cares about benchmarks. They could be close to SD8G3, but flounder in efficiency making for a terrible experience....which is likely to happen.

There is so much ignorance out there I didn't want to reply to any of it.
This is the ill-informed. With no benchmarks to go on it's their posts opinions which is accurate.
Hell NO
In sport there is anecdotal evidence younger siblings are better, best case Michael Jordan
The 2400 is not the 2200.
Also Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is second behind Dimensity 9200 in 2023, in 2024 it seems they still want the second best SoC Snapdragon 8 gen 3 (at the moment) Dimensity 9300 4nm Geekbench 6 multi core posted better figures than Apples A17 3nm multi only not single
Please wait only Samsung know the true benchmark scores for Snapdragon and Exynos supplied S24 and they have hinted that the novel 10 Core Exynos 2400 is a beast.

Wi-Fi 7 disabled on all Galaxy S24
and S24+ variants because of
Exynos 2400
The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+
do notsupport Wi-Fi 7, as the Exynos
2400 doesn't support it. The
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 does, which is why
the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be able to
connect to Wi-Fi 7 networks. While the
S24 and S24+ will also use the
Snapdragon chip in select markets,
Samsung has decided to disable Wi-Fi
7 on the base and Plus Galaxy S24
models in all countries to maintain
feature parity.

Yeah ok cool but people with half a brain don't care about that. The only reason their chips suck is because they drain the battery faster than I can blink. It's not opening an app in more 8 milliseconds than on the snapdragon that is making this a bad chip for the users. Hope they fixed this mess, otherwise they will end up coming back to snapdragon after all the bad press they will get again
