Hardware Hypervisor, 17 Jan 2024Why would anyone buy this over Samsung A05s ?Because it has UFS storage? Gorilla Glass? Punch-hole Display?

A05s has sharper screen (Full HD+ instead of just HD+), slight better selfie cam and faster charging speed though (25w vs 15w). Just choose wisely.

Hardware Hypervisor, 17 Jan 2024Why would anyone buy this over Samsung A05s ?HD+ display might be cheaper but it sustains more battery life, not everyone wants useless 2mp cameras just for the sake of S series look, and no stereo speaker either. let alone the cutouts. and also, samsung does not offer charger in the box so you need additional cost just for charging brick. only cons for the g play 2024 is 64gb only. they can expand some with sd card though

Confusing naming - thinking that it is for gamers but it is just low priced.

The Moto G Play (2024) has a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging. To get to that level of charging you'll need Motorola's TurboPower 20W charger or higher, which is not available in the box. The phone runs Android 13, unfortunately, and the company hasn't talked about updates at all.

Samsung is the worst OEM in the low-end segment. From time to time, really interesting low-end mobile devices like this one appear. MyUX is horrible, but for a low-end mobile device it's pretty decent.

                                  Several reasons come to mind.

MyUX is much cooler than the ugly OneUI, not to mention that OneUI on low-end Galaxy mobile devices is even worse. The G Play (2024) looks cooler. Stereo speakers. Lightweight design. The G Play (2024) cameras can't be worse than those of a low-end Galaxy. More discreet selfie camera. Gorilla Glass protection.
