          The US really has poor value low-end Android smartphones. We're spoiled in Europe. I'd rather get an old flagship for that money.

            At just $149.99? Man, that's overpriced. Just get a Samsung A05s or A05.

              G34 is barely more expensive and has better specs. Plus Android 14 out of the box.

                777cobalt, 16 Jan 2024Seems great for the price (the US market is generally a dum... moreIt's a good improvement from my previous phone: the Moto E (2020), which also had a $149 MSRP. Remember with inflation, $149 then would be worth $167 today. Let's do a comparison:

                2GB RAM -> 4GB RAM
                32GB storage -> 64 GB storage
                SD632 -> SD680 (same cores but newer process and higher clock speed)
                60Hz -> 90Hz
                Basic 13MP + depth 2MP -> basic 50MP
                10W charging -> 15W charging
                3550mAh -> 5000mAh. Combined with the power sipping SD680, this thing is gonna have great battery life.

                  Vin Aigre, 16 Jan 2024No charger in the box like Samsung. No thanks.I don't think the article ever explicitly mentioned there is or is not a charger in the box.

                      I like where this is going! A much faster processor, more storage and memory, and less camera junk for cheaper than the last model! It seems they listened to the feedback on the last G Play which was absolute garbage. But... software updates are a concern.

                        Vin Aigre, 16 Jan 2024No charger in the box like Samsung. No thanks.I have a ton of chargers of various power outputs around the house. It's not a big deal and getting to be normal these days, unfortunately.

                          Seems great for the price (the US market is generally a dumpster fire in this price range). I like that they were more "honest" and only included one rear camera instead of some useless macro/depth sensors. Putting a Lineage GSI on it would make it a nice new alternative to something old like a Moto G7 Play.
