Samsung should say a big thank you to TSMC, giving them the possibility to claim every year that they have a new and improved phone, without bringing anything new except for natural TSMC tech advancements.

Phone with 5-7 years of updates will be probabbly not working properly after past last update at all and will have no value to sell and buy new thing.
I always try to sell y phones when they still have a decent value and they are paid so i am allowed to get new phone from my carrier.

Two OS update is still more than enough for most people, especially for those who buy phones through carrier and change every year or two.

Cpt.Power, 17 Jan 2024Unless Samsung is going to give at least 5-7 years of warrn... moreI bet they can,if they want to and if they really put in the work by not releasing updates that would affect the phone in a bad way and also, the updates shouldn't be everytime, cause they take useful features away 🥲

If AI mean fake image ala the infamous moon shot taken by S23 ultra then I prefer they actually upgrade the hardware.

Also I saw a lot more news about bricked iPhones than bricked Samsung phones over the last years,

Same old, same old. Not a real upgrade. Will stick to my S23 Ultra.

Unless Samsung is going to give at least 5-7 years of warrnty to prove they are better than Apple having 7 years of updates is niot that great.
No matter the hardware or software phones have decent chance to be bricked within first 2-3 years and a lot bigger in like 4-5 years.
Having a phone perfectly working without nay issues at all for 7 or more years is pure luck equal to win a lottery.
