        7 generations of OS update would make more sense if Samsung keeps these on the market until the S27, especially the vanilla S24 as it would drop to midrange price segment in 2 years' time, since they don't seem to have any plans on releasing a new midranger that's as small as their vanilla flagship.

          Samsung is obviously in stagnation. Zero creativity,nothing special just billions on advertising.Just like Fanta.

            They maybe getting 7 years support

            But the real question, is the software optimized to resist ageing and slow downs from fragmentation caused from the phones memory being used up an re-written over and over

            I doubt these phone will be running good at 2030

                This article needs a correction. Australia is receiving Exynos units according to the specs on JB Hi-Fi and Telstra.

                    These need to have this easy to change battery if they give 7 years of software support.
                    Phones are now already so powerful that even 10 years wont slow them down in anything.
                    If only the heat bending let the hardware survive this 10 years. Heat bending as warming up when using and then cooling down when not using and how this effect the hardware material in time

                        Last time I got excited about a new samsung was probably the S8, since then its just tiring and boring

                          8/128 base is just pathetic. In a flagship android phone, 12/256 is the minimum for 2024.

                              7 years of software upgrades is indeed tremendous move by Samsung, yet less useful with base model on 8GB RAM. 8GB is not enough for Pro users in some situations even today.

                                        For those who don't understand yet, the difference between the S23 and S24 is that one is called S23 and the other is called S24, other than that, it has a brighter screen, basically the same difference between the S22 and S23.
