blq, 02 Oct 2008symbian? or no-OS? good advice to nokia: make WM phones,... moreya i agree with the rest, why WM? they are totally different platform to capture different level of users. One question to you, try answer before u support whatever OS u like. Can you export and save your sms in your pc like Symbian phones? ;)

WM is just for amateur who's always looking into playing media files, Symbians are for pro ok?

Gaw, 03 Oct 2008What a joke of Nokia’s first touch screen. SE, Samsung and ... moreFirst off Nokia came out with a touchscreen like, in 2003 with the 7700 and 7710 before SE and Samsung did.

Second of all, this is a mid range device and not high end, so no need to get stressed and all bitchy about it.

Third of all, I believe the N95 was one of the first few 5MP handsets in the European and American markets, so g and do your research before you blast the number 1 phone company in the world you whinging pessimst American (even if you aren't, you sound like one of those god damned annoying American people) fanboy.

The new XpressMusic has the same look-n-feel as new N series. What huge difference in functionality do you get in different N series? They pretty much have more or less same features with some added/updated goodies and different form factors. The story is same for all manufacturers. At least I expected them to give the touchscreen phone a new look. Is it too much to expect? And don't tell me that Omnia or F700 or any other samsung touchscreen phones looks like soul or anything else. They don't.

What a joke of Nokia’s first touch screen. SE, Samsung and LG developed touch screens before 5 years. Likewise Nokia take another 5 years to develop an 8MP cam phone. Only Nokia fans are surprised with first touch screen.

3.15 camera phone with touchscreen..... This is a real joke.

My advice - NEVER BUY THE FIRST GENERATION NOKIA PHONE -as I have bought a e-61 ... their first black berry competitor and how I curse....

                        Radation at crazy levels
                        Poor functionality
What is worse while Nokia launched the e-71 (average phone but finger print magnet) the are planning the e-72 and 75. I am sure far better models will come from Apple , Samsung , LG , Blackberry .... wait and you will be rewarded

Kal, 03 Oct 2008Get a glass if you can't see the similarities in soul serie... morei meant in functionality! the Soul series have nothing on the specs or os to show their "similarity' or "series-ness" they are just the random slim models that they try to make look good apart from being slim they are the same as the others and the other touchscreen phones are nothing excpt for touchscreen they are even more random than any other line up, there is a huge difference in between the N and E seires and the Xpress Media series both in software and looks!

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2008New series and design??? bro what is the Nseries and Eserie... moreGet a glass if you can't see the similarities in soul series. They all have brushed metal finish. Ya nokia stuck to a design. The same curve and glossy plastic..that's the reason why I posted. LG Samsung's touch screen phones doesn't look like their normal phones. They carry a different design. Whereas Nokia's look all same as n-series. That was my point. Are they too afaird that people might call it a copy from other brands? May be!!!!!

I wonder... moreNew series and design??? bro what is the Nseries and Eseries? they are only 3 years old the K seires from SE just changed its name from K to C and the W series is still the same? Samsung and LG....do they even have a series? the phone are just randomly named KC, KU and the soul seires is the most random with no relations to each model and in design this is the first time nokia stuck to a Design, the N81 design otherwise most nokias are different but every SE and Samsung Look the same

Same old design without keypad and a large screen. I wonder what those designers are doing at nokia. A full touchscreen device with same XpressMusic series and design makes me feel Nokia is too afraid to come up with a new series and design. Good luck to people who will buy it, but I have strong doubt about the functionality. It will take Nokia another year or so to fine-tune it IMO.
