Image tuning to get another mediocre camera quality as mediocre brands always do

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024Its all marketing gimmick to make buyers believe realme pho... moreHmmm ... unnecessary scams. They should invest.in better cameras instead.

"Realme only says that Miranda will help 'perfect the image tuning of the Realme 12 Pro series' and it's not clear what that entails."

It's not a gimmick, it's a collaboration to improve the product. Of course, as a company, they would hire a qualified, competent person.

Argument: "He's getting paid, so it can be biased."
Potential answer: Of course, Realme wouldn't hire someone incompetent. Anyone who does some work should be paid, otherwise it's "free labor." Concerns about bias are understandable, but ultimately judging the outcome of the collaboration is more relevant than questioning Realme's motives.

            Argument: "It's a gimmick."
Potential answer: Nope. To sell more of a new product and avoid losing money, a company can work with someone who endorses it. Companies pay their employees, taxes, and more. It's up to them how they go about their strategies.
Companies have the right to employ various strategies to improve their products.

Pumpino, 22 Jan 2024It's interesting that you say Oppo could teach Realme ... moreThe find X5 Pro was mid honestly, I found it to be generally overrated, mostly due to the frankly mediocre main camera sensor (The size was the same as the Oneplus 11). The upgrade to a 1 inch sensor and a periscope telephoto was a much needed hardware upgrade and besides, idk what they did but their processing is Xiaomi like but their colors are better. The Find X6 Pro and the Oneplus Open were the phones I voted for the most in MKBHD's blind test, except for low light, the haloing is a HUGE issue that I saw even an indian reviewer highlight in their early look at the Oneplus 12.

Oppo's midrangers may have been poor in the past but I look at some samples of the Reno 11 and the new processing is REALLY good! Especially portraits, on par with Vivo's X100 Pro, if that phone were limited to 2x that is.

                  This getting interesting.

Partnership with Cartier or Hernans or both???

Haha every company out there trying to make a camera with a phone attached to it. 🤣🤣🤣

Another marketing expense that will hike the pricing with 0 addition to the phone's relevant features.

Should've given 5x normal telephoto and 12mp ultrawide and Dimensity 7200.

                                  That'll be enough.

The Realme series is really interesting to me, as I like ColorOS more than MIUI. However, I imagine the 12 Pro series will have curved displays, which ruins them.
