Asus lied about releasing the bootloader (almost 1 year since they deleted it for no reason) so many fans will not buy these new phones anymore.

Asus cannot be trusted, lied about unlocking bootloader, and they've just started banning users who asked about it on their forum, instead of answering.

gio, 02 Feb 2024no , it should not , small screen size is perfect You obviosly missed info it's gonna have ~6,24" inch screen, that's why I mentioned Xiaomi 12, as it is one of the most compact smartphones having 6,28" 20:9 screen. But I bet Asus will just leave thick bezels making it size of some 6,5" phones.

This is a great compact phone, we just need ASUS to be more carrier friendly in US, there's no approvals from any of the big carriers on approving the phone for use on their networks.
Work with the carriers and you'll sell a lot more.

It should be the size of Xiaomi 12X, which is pretty compact. Unless they use some thick bezels.

I'm in Saudi Arabia where all phones are unlocked and prices start going down within a few weeks of a new phone being launched (except for iPhones, which I don't care for anyway). Trade ins have been good to me so far, my old phones always got an "A" rating and best trade in value. I'm contemplating two options for this year: trade the Fold5 in for a 6 when it comes out in August or check out the Honor Magic V2, its preorder starts Feb. 1st over here. I don't know for how much yet but I predict $1500-1800.

Current... moreI dunno if you're in the US but if you are... my trade in deal on the Samsung site on my S22+ for an S24 was way too good to pass up. I'm not in the Samsung ecosystem and prefer the straight Google apps but before tax the S24 cost me $350. Literally too good to pass up.
