The gips score of the oneplus is also too low for a 8g3, we already see they are intentionally limiting it in geekbench. Gsmarena should just get a heatgun and also measure power draw.

I don't care how large the vapour chamber is; it doesn't mean it cools well.

Case in point, since everyone is creaming about it - The OnePlus 12 apparently has a 9140 mm2 vapour chamber but still has abysmal cooling (as shown by the sustained performance):

                  https://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_12-review-2659p4.php#image37
                  SoC: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

CPU throttling test(1 hour): 63% of max performance

                  Min: 226,861 GIPS
                  Max: 362,398 GIPS
                  Avg: 268,174 GIPS

                  Temperature: 93 C (yes, it's literally melting)

GPU throttling test(20 one-minute loops of WildLife Stress Test): 54% of max performance

                  Lowest loop score: 9,517
                  Highest loop score: 17,633

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a much smaller vapour chamber of only 3,400 mm2 has much better sustained thermal performance; in fact, it has the best sustained performance of any phone with a passive cooling solution, beating even the ROG phone 7 Ultimate.

                  https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_13_ultra-review-2562p4.php#image0
                  SoC: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2(LAST YEAR's flagship)

CPU throttling test(1 hour): 83% of max performance

                  Min: 304,675 GIPS
                  Max: 393,637 GIPS
                  Avg: 351,951 GIPS

                  Temperature: 55 C

So you see, not only is the Mi 13 Ultra beating the OnePlus 12 soundly, it also has better min, max and almost TWICE the avg sustained performance, while MAINTAINING A LOWER TEMPERATURE. This is all with last year's chip, too.

GPU throttling test(20 one-minute loops of WildLife Stress Test): 90% of max performance

                  Lowest loop score: 11,790
                  Highest loop score: 13,106

It is true the Mi 13 Ultra has a lower peak score, but that is normal for SD 8 Gen 2 phones; 8 Gen 3 actually made a huge jump in GPU capability. The Mi 13 Ultra also has a higher lowest score. But look at the sustained performance. 90%. That's right. No AeroActive cooler, no pretentious fan inside the phone, no nothing. No other passively-cooled phone comes close.

So you see, size doesn't matter - it is the implementation that counts. Xiaomi's using some Mi IceLoop technology that's 3x more effective than traditional vapour chambers. You can easily see how even a small one beats others more than thrice the size.

Everytime I watch these similar videos, I feel that I bought a smartphone in expensive price. I do not know how to get a right words to express this feeling...I feel that the S24Ultra (and any phones) like a toy?

At least it's a passive cooling solution.

Have previous designs all been dumping heat into the chassi? It would be cool to see the heat spread vs weight gain.

Quite a few comments about OnePlus on a Samsung tear down....hmmmmmm...OnePLus makes great phones! I have used many. Currently using the Open! But the 12 has a curved screen and I will NEVER buy another phone as long as it has a curved screen. I will not even read about it!

Point #1 , the use of more subjective emotional language

giving us our first look inside the "top-tier 2024 flagship Galaxy"

This language is absent in the OnePlus teardown

                                Wave of Samsung article /spam

Having such a high concentration of article releases conditions readers to suspect favouritism especially if the behaviour is not seen elsewhere not even among a rival like the iPhone which is just as popular

Hopefully this sheds some light for why it's reasonable to have such suspicions.. I didn't name call I just expressed some points

Like you can use an external monitor with it and the same cell phone passes energy to a small monitor that content creators usually use... You can use the cell phone with the panel completely wet and the touch will not fail ect ect... that's it just some of the things.. they didn't mention anything!! This website is no longer a credible website like it used to be before.
