I like the camera bump design! Makes the phone lay stable on the surfaces. But I hate the 70s tv screen corners!
But anyway, pixels are never anything but beta phones sold for full price. The buyers become the beta testers. Without salary!

Dimtons, 24 Jan 2024I hope it's not a marketing strategy to leak renders o... moreSoCs are made 12 months before you see them on the latest flagships : because the time needed for production, tests, distribution, marketing, ...etc
(SD8 gen 4 is already on production)

If Google brings out this ugly thing and on top of that with that shitty SoC that is used for heating, they will only manage to sink more than they already are.

Dimtons, 24 Jan 2024I hope it's not a marketing strategy to leak renders o... moreThey leak them because others are doing so as well. And it's the only way to stay in the news. What is there to talk about Pixel 8 except when it gets updates?
Disgusting but these people are just doing their best to keep milking the hamster wheel.

The dimensions (L & W) and are about the same as my Samsung Note 10 (actually, slightly bigger) and the bezels are about as small, so how come the screen is only 6.1" when the Note 10's screen is 6.3"? Something is off with those stats!

Pixel's battery is not satisfactory. how can it be that the battery in a high-end device like the Pixel 8 Pro performing worse than a Pixel 5a from three years ago. Google may want to consider another chip that has a better battery management.

Dimtons, 24 Jan 2024I hope it's not a marketing strategy to leak renders o... moreGoogle iPhonising their design with Pixel 9 doesn't make Pixel 8 "outdated". Actually, If they go through with this, Pixel 8 will be the last Pixel to have a distinctive Google design.
If anything, this makes the current Google flagships even more desirable.

I don't like the curved sides on the phone. Also if they add 3 cameras on the phone, they will definitely make the phone more expensive...

Something about this isn't quite right: the bezels seem really slim, but the size overall size is bigger than the Pixel 8 while the screen is smaller than the Pixel 8's? It doesn't make sense.
What if these renders aren't the Pixel 9, but instead a smaller Pixel 9 Pro? (With the bigger one being a Plus or something?)

Pixel 9 going to be even worse.
People at google are really blind to allow this fugly abomunation to enter the market with casual overpricing no accesories in box and no snapdragon or dimensity 9300 on board but crappy google tensor.

This would be enough ....
P9 : imx707 24mm + imx858 12mm + imx858 90mm
P9Pro: imx707 24mm + LYT600 12mm + LYT600 120mm.

if the bezels are really that thin, then i don't think those will be the right messures. It should be around 147 mm tall.

"Moving on, the other obvious thing is that Google has also been infested by the 'flat sides' disease started by Apple a while ago. Gone is the curved frame of the Pixel 8, in is the iPhone-like flatness. We don't especially mind if a frame is flat or not, but we do feel the need to point out that every company doing the same thing is just... boring and repetitive?"
Very well said 👏
