That's why Samsung makes the wide range of its Galaxy phones, from A0x series to Sxx Series, to fulfill the costumers. All are named: Galaxy.

Try reading all the article, a... moreI never said people don't buy this, there's so many examples of people chasing snake oil in the tech industry alone. But regardless, I said no one SHOULD pay that much, the Note 9, the S10+, these phones were truly topping everyone else with the MOST features and still undercut Apple in pricing. Samsung is as expensive as Apple now and for what, inferior photos overall and videos as well? If they had Pixel level photos then I'd have given them some praise but they don't either. The average consumer buys due to 2 things, availability and brand image. Chinese phones seem to have neither so their sales are low in the high end space. I repeat, I didn't say no one COULD buy this phone, I said no one SHOULD, at least in the launch price, for 1k or lower it'd be cool.

Samsung's market shares in the flagship and even foldable segments are declining. You know why Samsung lost to Apple last year? Because their A series not selling well.

They should wait a few months and get the much superior S24 at not much higher price (for example, only about $170 more in my country plus a Buds2 Pro as gift).
Looks like the S23 FE is becoming unpopular with buyers bcos Samsung is giving more and more discounts to push sales.

Try reading all the article, already 200k+ pre-order in Korea and 1million in india in 3 days so yeah people actually buy a 1200 dollar Android be it Samsung, oppo, or xiaomi. And Samsung had always had a higher market share since 2013 or maybe before until 2023. S6, S7 etc all cost 700-800. Dolls and still outsold any smartphone cheaper or more expensive.

1. The display is not just brighter, but is significantly less reflective, making the viewing experience significantly better (especially when outdoors).
2. The 5x 50MP zoom camera is significantly better in quality than the 10x 10MP camera. Only after 10x the S23 does slightly better.
3. The flat screen + the new Gorilla Glass makes the phone more durable/ easier to use with the S pen/ easier to put a screen protector. Titanium frame most likely also improve the durability.
4. The AI features, the new more efficient processor+ the 7 years of OS updates combined are not an incremental upgrade.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2024Just who in the world would even imagine you to use Samsung... moreMy self for example if they start giving real specs not just toying on the sand and start making completed devices. (Having no charger in the box is not a completed device)
Even my shawer or electric toothbrush comes with charger.
Same for many else.
And also apart the charger would be nice to seeonce again earphones, screen protector and maybe at least some plain case in the box plus a fast charging capabilities and i dont mean 10 or 20-25W but something like 100W+.
My time is valuable and precious to me. Dont have the luxury to spend hours waiting to charge my phone if i need it immediately ready or within next 10-15 minutes.

As it stands I don't think anyone in their right mind should pay 1200 dollars+ for an android phone with 256 GB of storage, especially for something like the S24 Ultra or the Pixel 8 Pro. Oppo's camera phones spank samsung and go head to head with Google in terms of quality, it's all a preference thing after that.

It's quite telling that the last flagship with record sales was the last year before covid. Interest in phones is finally coming back to that level.
