Hmm, 31 Jan 2024Haha that's the best reply to all 3.5mm / SD card weir... moreAnd yours is the worst reply to a satirical post. Lmao. Way to out yourself. 🤣

alcatraz, 30 Jan 2024I'd love to see indepenent battery testing of a snapdr... moreTried both!Sent back the Exynos UK.Got HK version with Snapdragon. It is day and night.Performance wise is almost a call but the SD still faster. My Exynos version was a trash in battery life, gave me a horrendous 4.5hrs SOT while the Snapdragon gives around 6-8.5hrs SOT.Setting I used:

    Exynos:
    -20-25% screen brightness
    -No AOD
    -No Bluetooth
    -Cellular/Wifi on
    -No running apps background/no refresh
    -Fingerprint/Face ID on
    -No smart switch
    -Usage: internet 2hrs,emails 45 mins,Reddit 30 mins,Facebook/Insta 30 mins,45mins YouTube
-Battery draining idle was 10-15%in 7-8hrs
    -Calls around 20 mins
    -Battery left 8%

    Snapdragon
    -40% screen brightness
    -AOD yes
    -No Bluetooth
    -WiFi/Cellular on
    -No running apps background/no refresh
    -Fingerprint/Face ID on
    -No smart switch
Usage was almost identical + 1 NBA match around 2.5HRS online+1ep of Quantum Leap(online streaming)
-Battery drainage around 3-6% in 7-8hrs(idle)
-Calls via Messanger and celllular around 20mins
    -Battery left 29%

So I had around 3-3.5 Hrs more SOT with still 29% left on my Snapdragon version.I either had a faulty unit from Samsung UK or this is just the reality (many others had same issues with the battery - Exynos). The difference from me is extreme, while there is minimum speed, temperature difference between the two, efficiency was absolutely zero on the Exynos 2400 and a great deal on the Snapdragon.Myself prefer a phone with longer lasting battery than competing these nonsense speed tests.

Camera wise is nowhere near to the iPhone 15Pro.(yet,might an update or two will help in the future)

I can recommend the S24(6.2”) Snapdragon but Inwould avoid the Exynos version.
Again, this was my own experience, others might be more happy with the Exynos’s performance.

Ps: the Exynos S24 has poorer battery life than a 1 year old S23 with SD.(YouTube)

Got triggered, pity...I have never mentioned 3.5mm or sd cards. Guy asked what's next, I have wrote little bit satirical stuff about future. And baaammm, someone got triggered out of context...But it's okay, I understand so easily triggered personalities, they can't stand any satire or critic's to corporations, they feel offended. This is why such harsh emotional reactions without any context or actual post reading..

Sorry, nobody really cares about headphones, 3.5mm jacks, or expandable storage because most people already have those wireless features built into their lives. Like really? You want garbo freebie headphones? You want a 3.5mm jack so Android can automatically downsample your music into 48khz garbage? You want expandable storage? Why? So you can store more p*rn to watch at work in your minimum wage job? Google drive is free. Here's where you give me some extremely specific situation you are in that *totally* applies to all consumers, not just you in your outdated little bubble.

It's perfectly fine, there is not much else to say about it, it's definitely not bad, and I never said it was. The S23 FE's battery life was also included in this article, so I commented about that instead.

Fursys, 30 Jan 2024Where can I see that review? The 5g / mobile networking performance i got from tweakers.net. It's on the level of S23+ regarding S24+ so pretty good, but still the modem as usual is not the strongest point of exynos. Video and Wifi perfermance is insane so overal it scores higher than S23+.
But ok gsm radio perfomances way better then e2200 and certainly on level of SD8 gen. 2 : good and important stuff!
Only notebookcheck does proper idle test so lets hope they bring out an review soon, so we can kinda have a complete view on things, but its clear already e2400 is pretty good at efficiency.

So CPU and GPU power efficiency are great...
But modem/network connectivity components are standard Samsung and clear step back from Qualcomm.
Guess it's better to not expect great standby endurance either...

Which is the biggest issue in current Exynos Galaxy S8 sucking ridiculous 1% per hour for doing nothing with power save on and no background apps/data... Unless I disable 4G halving standby power draw making it more reasonable.
But still clearly behind my previous Qualcomm based Xperia Z3 Compact.
