Hi,
I enjoy taking tests because they provide a valuable way to compare hardware specifications of different devices. Could you please advise me on how to test my phone using the tests available on GSMArena? I'm eager to assess my phone's performance and capabilities. Alternatively, are there other apps or methods I can use to compare my phone's results against others?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Michal

Is it just me, or the Plus version is supposedly getting the same battery life as the normal one. This can't be right.

So many excuses from apologists. "blah blah higher screen resolution, brighter screen, yadda yadda excuses, excuses". You will soon see with Ultra battery life test that it's all Exynos to blame. Ultra will have significantly higher battery life, and yet it only has +100mAh battery size. Ultra will show that it's much more power efficient than S24+ Exynos.

And here I thought the Plus is the star of the S24 lineup. Well, the Snapdragon version is still very compelling but that's harder to come by for most countries no thanks to Samsung stupidly going back to chipset segregation.

Bodygard, 31 Jan 2024"but for now, we can say that the battery life of the ... moreExynos bad
Yet Exynos fan will praise it. If Exynos is good, why they choose Snapdragon for all S24 Ultra?

MRSTEK, 31 Jan 2024Kindly remind you that 1440p S23 Ultra was also included in... moreEfficiency doesn't mean lower power usage, most people confuse these two things, I will give you hypothetical example,

            S24+ has 2600 nits
            s23+ has 1700 nits

Assume S24+ display use 4W and s23+ use 3W that will be

            2600/4 = 650 nits per watt
            1700/3 = 566 nits per watt.

So there S24+ display will be 15% more efficient but In real life it will use more power, it's efficient because it offer more nits and not because it use low power.

              Exynos says hi :D
Weeks of Exynos marketing hype and then actual test results speak for themselves. Same cr*p like every time.

justasmile, 31 Jan 2024But okay, it's because of the QHD+ screen.S23 ultra with same resolution and a slightly bigger 100mah battery did better

justasmile, 31 Jan 2024Quite a decrease from the S23+.But okay, it's because of the QHD+ screen.

Glad I bought the S23+ and didn't try this Exynos S24+, I would probably have sold it after a few months.

Quite a decrease from the S23+.

Akarius, 31 Jan 20242,4 million pixels in the old screen vs 4,5 million in the ... moreKindly remind you that 1440p S23 Ultra was also included in the chart with slightly 100mAh larger battery. Don't forget Samsung promised higher efficiency of newer screen panel.

[deleted post]The charger what comes with the phone

2,4 million pixels in the old screen vs 4,5 million in the new one (80% increase) with somewhat comparable device runtime (definitely not 80% worse).
"OMG, Exynos sucks, Samsung can't build a phone, waaah, I want a candy!"

Curious how SD8G3 will fare in tests and what the difference will be. At least GSMArena can objectively cast their opinion based on test results, instead of this infantile crying some present here.

To all people saying this is because of the Exynos, it is clearly not. Since S24 gets more battery life than S23, the only of S24 Plus getting less battery life than S23 Plus is because of display upgrade to QHD resolution.

kind of short time for gaming... maybe not optimized for gaming since video playback and web browsing are doing good relative to others in the comparison...

so the modem sucks and so does the gaming?
i mean it has a higher resolution display, its expected

                                      Exynos strikes again...

People just think about it. A sharper display and a much more powerful chipset, what did you expect. OnePlus 12 with a larger battery and the 8 gen 3 has only a marginally better gaming score. Let's wait for the S24 ultra scores to have a clearer picture.
