The devices sport an interesting design.

Oppo is better

Bring on the lumia colors!! Take advantage of what others discarded, 3.5 connector even though I don't need it, the SD card, removable battery, FM radio, go retro, there is a market for these products, Carl Pei himself has said that retouched retro sells

If these illustrations are to become reality as they are then I'm already a fan. It's the good old Lumia 800/N9 design and I loved it when I had one. It's also something different from what is currently available in terms of basic designs. And if it would be true unibody (which it probably won't) then it's even better... Let's wait and see. I hope that they will have more then plain and simple Android One launchers, not because I'm against stock Android but because the Android One versions are simply too simple, not even offering the customizing features from the Pixel range in most cases. If it would be something like My UX from Motorola then it's more than fine (at least you can play a bit with the look of the icons compare to the mainly colour based options of Pixel devices. Looking endlessly at round widgets get boring (same goes for Samsung devices with their endless Squirkel widgets unless you can install Good Lock which is only possible as from the A34 and higher range and not that user friendly but better than nothing). I think that on the hardware side it might not be overwhelming with entry or midrange chips but that's fine for me. I'm not hungry for power, a good balance between power and power efficiency with decent graphics is good enough.

I prefer this no-name brand approach

They don't necessarily have the crutches to be lazy they have to prove themselves

As we know crutching on brand name brings laziness like what Samsung and apple does.. innovation/ effort wise

Exception being Huawei who kept trying relentlessly with no complacency

Hardware Hypervisor, 02 Feb 2024HMD has to bring something different to survive in an alrea... moreOr they can do what everyone is doing but cheaper...

          Meh which probably won't happen

This is the real end of Nokia phones.

I hope that they succeed. I really liked the design of Nokia phones they made, and clean Android UI.

I hope that brings some competition...

Well youtube is full of unreleased futuristic godlike looking Nokia 2024 phones.
If anything f that could become reality it would be true magnificient art of a phone.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2024Removable battery? Yes? No?Hope not last what i want is a battery whicha floated and push away your back cover of your phone so apart the replacing battery you have to replace your back cover as well. if internals wont gets damaged.

So nothing changes, just the name, they are still going to sell cheap generic phones.

The middle one looks kinda like a Lumia, and there is one with a triple camera setup, but only of them looks useful.

HMD has to bring something different to survive in an already saturated market.

It can never compete in price with QA-less Chinese companies.

HMD should partner with Nothing and become their marketing sector or help them market or even provide some help from the amount of experience they had with Nokia. That's the best way to go for them rn I'd say, they won't go far by themselves. Infinix and Tecno ROCK

I’m excited to see what HMD has in store for us. The renders look very sleek and colorful, reminiscent of the old Nokia Lumia phones. I hope they have good specs and performance to match their design. I wonder if they will use Android or their own OS. Either way, I’m looking forward to the official announcement and launch of these new HMD phones. 🙌

Should be cheaper as they don't have to pay for the Brand License Anymore. Also the Lumian design language seems really nice.

all nokia or hmd has to do is simple , offer 3,4 yrs of android updates and keep the hardware amazing looking at of course a reasonable price , simmilar to samsung i know they cant beat the chinese brands in this but samsung is easily possible
