From the images it looks like one of the phones is a lookalike of old Lumia phones, going by it's design

if dropping the Nokia branding will allow HMD to bring phones that would be priced competitively with other brands to market, then I this will be the a good move. right now, I wouldn't even consider HMD phones because they offer no perceived advantage to other phones that are priced similarly. in fact, most of the time, they fall behind on specs and, probably, only a few people would gamble on their phone with higher price to specs proposition.

give D1080 SoC (or any other SoC at least 500K antutu score), with a flagship looking phone without a thick chin and notch, 33W charger in the box, case, 128GB base storage, microSD+3.5mm headphone jack, 50MP OIS, with a cool UI, no lag, and at least 2 OS and 3 years of security for around $200 and work with a youtuber to send units, this will sell millions.
Am I asking too much?

Only thing I can say I like about these new designs so far as the bold color choices but of HMD continues to make overpriced, underpowered and underwhelming devices that are very forgettable then they will continue to get a hard pass from me.
At the very minimum they need a good mid-ranger for me to even take a second look at it but ideally a flagship but they know it's pointless to compete in that segment. They tried that with the Nokia brand before and failed to deliver, it's much easier to offer something at low budget segment since buyers are willing to give them a bigger pass for missing features.
